  • Guillotine?

    I know this is a very noob question, but what exactly is Guillotine? As far as I know it is not a Weapon, a Job Ability, or a Weapon Skill. This is according to the guide, sites, and in-game experience.

    So what exactly is it? Sorry for the stupid question in advance, lol.

    Actually, it is a weapon skill learned at lvl 60 and scythe skill 200. Read Awntawn's DRK guides at the top of the page for more info on it and how it is used.

        So it IS a Weapon Skill. That's what I thouht, but it's not in the Strategy Guide and not listed on Allakhazam.

            In general guillo's really useful, but some groups it just sucks, for example high-def monsters, high-evade monsters, all this + no bard...

            First of all if you miss, you can't do good damage and TP return sucks. Also, if the monster has high def, guillo is 4 swings, not 1 damage. If say the armor blocks 70 damage and you do 150 a swing, it's not 600 - 70, it would be (150 - 70) * 4. Granted that's not exactly how the whole attack/defense system works, you get the message. The damage is deducted from each swing rather than from the final product, so multi-hit WS's would be weak vs high-defense monsters.

            Hard HNM with high evasion, as well as level up parties, use THF sub w/ 225 WS to close skillchains. Easier HNM that I can hit, dynamis, BC, I sub war and guillo.
