Valkarie Mask NM

Ok today I tried to get the Valkarie mask with a couple of friends and here's what happened. I'm a level 43 DRK, I brought I 43 RDM for Sneak and a 51 SAM to help me kill the NM. I got a little lost on the way up and asked some JPs about how to get there. They spoke for a while and the number 65 came up. Then they said you death. I was under the impression that I could handle the NM since it's 46-48 and I could sneak/invis through the area on the way there. So what level should I be before attempting this again? I was thinking level 50 with a full PT, but is it still too hard then?

Well that nm is in the back of beadeaux. Which i believe is 60+ mobs. In davoi the other day we were doing the pally quest and got agro from a orc on top of the raised area in the middle of the river. Well to make a long story short we were a pt of 5 lvl 50s (without a whm) And this thing kicked our @$$.

It's not quite in the back, the mobs around the area are Emeralds, Elders, etc. They're still easy prey (relatively high easy prey, almost decent) at lv.52. My lv.59 SAM friend said the mobs in the area still aggro him, so i've stayed away for now. Unless you cleared the whole area beforehand, taking a large chance that you'd lose the NM spawn, you're likely to get links. You wouldn't be able to take more than one of them at once with only a lv.51 sam, you, and a lv.43 rdm. Probably 2 lv.50+ people, one of which could heal would be fine. Other than that, probably 55+ for solo if you exercise caution.

I hunted it,twice. With a 50 PLD and 59 WHM. I was 46 at the time. Hes level 47,but you must remember he is a NM. They dont call them NM's for nothing. I did get the drop. But I thinks its a rare drop im not sure.

its pretty difficult, i tried to hunt it and its pop just took forever i never even saw it spawn, if you actually want to use the mask perhaps try getting a lower level NM item like emperor hairpin or leaping boots and sell them and use the gil to buy the mask, since they are relatively the same value (of course AH there will always be fluctuation in price...)

Emp and Lizzy are pretty hard to camp, very crowded. I will try doing BCNM 40 but I have to wait for my brd friend to get monster signa first.

Yeah the mask is great,Im currently wearing it. Its pop can be from 30 minutes-5 hours from what I hear. You have to kill place holders (Emerald Qudavs)

The mobs up in that area (around where that NM pops) are still EP to even my Level 64 DRK friend, so take that as you will. I'd recommend having trusty friends if you're not going in a full party of 50s ... I'm not sure how you'll work out compensation w/ total strangers

Hmmm...about 90% of the Quadav back there near the spawn location (Spinel, Emerald, Iron etc...) are "Too Weak" to me @62.
Every once in a while Ill come across one that gives me 12 xp after a battle.
Some of the people we had yesterday for my linkshell's coffer hunt were ~Lv58 and taking aggro still.
Be careful though as there is an Ancient Quadav spawn on the lower level nearby and that will wreck you if you arent high enough level and not paying attention.

once you get lvl 60 they wont aggro you anymore ^_^

Yeah...I was wondering around. I saw the NM so I attack it,I use Blood Weapon on it. Start to win but then get a huge aggro linkage...I die someone kills it...gets drop...; ;
