Level 60 Armor??

Hi , at this point im Level 59 and here is my gear:

Valkyrie Mask
RK Bp
RK Breeches
RK Gloves
RK Boots
Royal Guard Collar
Sniper Ring X2
Spike Earring
Assault Earring
Lifebelt
Vassago's


I have only completed AF1 and AF2 and want to know if this equipment will last me until the Thick series of gear w/ Hauberk?
It's not that I don't want to finish my AF..I plan to but, will me and my current gear not be bringing the best I can to the PT ? (Haubregeon is not an option for me at this point.)
Can I continue like this until 69 and get Thick series gear or stop now and get AF no matter what it takes? I know Drk AF some of the best looking armor in the game but looks arent really that important to me as long as I can back it up when the WHM asks "How come no AF?" I've compared Stats and I'm happy with my current kit but maybe some of you fellow Drk could put my mind at ease.

Get AF3. AF3 is the only other AF piece that's worthy other then AF1.
Don't really need legs, evasion parrying int +hp...not really necessary.
Body +5 atk enfeebling vit +hp, just looks good (play ELV drk put G.sword on with AF body on... it looks the spikes from the body is covering your eyes...no wonder they are BLIND)

Other then that, you have good equipment for LV59.
Just get yourself haubergeon/hauberk by 70 at least.

It may seem embrassing after awhile wearing RK at PTs but who cares.. RK>AF stats wise. but... AF does look good.

DRK AF chest is better than RK Bp. Also, gloves are good to have when u use bash, and boots are good for circle (extends time by 30 seconds). In later levels, you'll be using circle quite a bit, so keep them handy ^^

I always thought the lv55 top was better then AF. It gives +2 STR and +3attack eventually = +4attack and still has the STR+. AF has +5attack and HP+ and VIT+ and enfeebling+..yay?

seems to me that

people expect you to wear your AF. Yeah, you definitly get asked "why no AF" if you are in a party post lv 60 and not wearing it. Besides RK set just looks so..... Lv 50's.

RK set does have some nice stats, and I used to bring it with me along with the AF to exp sessions, but i notied the differences isn't huge (or even noticeable in my experience), so it's now sitting in my MH collecting dust, I might end up selling it soon.

The only thing you might want to get is the Haubergeon. But of course, that's way too expensive at 2.5 million on cerebrus. Farming yields me about 12-15K an hour, so that's like 200 hours of farming, at 4 hours a day, that's freaking 50 days.... That's why I'm in an HNM LS... hoping that eventually I'll get the damascus ingot plus some other nice loot to allow me to get the armor. But so far.... 2 wins - 0 drop ...

Well i started to try for more AF, so far just Gauntlets. I didn't have much trouble at all with those but now the legs and chest are giving me a headache. Maybe a bilingual poster could tell me a polite way to ask for help with coffer keys without me sounding like im telling them to "Help me out!" I dont mind the hours of camping really but the creating of the PT is what gives me the headache. Atleast for the helm all the DRK in the PT pass the quest at the sametime so that should be easier that these 2 coffers. So I've put guillotine on hold until I can get 5 and 6 complete but it will all be worth it. Thanks again, Don

donky, getting people to help with our AF is insanely hard.


NOBODY wants to go back to eldieme after all the liches put them through and the fact that it is so dangerous where the tomb mages/warriors spawn for lvl 55~ people


Not to mention the davoi/monsatic cavern coffer key *shuffers*


and lets not forget wonderful oztroja from rank 5 *shudders*


i haven't been able to find anyone to help with my AF, but they're all quick to ask for my help though....

Its only because Mikasa rolls with the wrong crowd. One of my DRK friends got the Davoi and Oztroja coffers yesterday, then helped me get my damn Papyrus because he was so happy. What did he do? He threatened his Linkshell, ofcourse.

Other than that, I have a 69 (maybe be 70 now, he was 68 yesterday morning, 69 halfway through the day) DRK who said he'd help with my AFs, my DRK friend from above will help, and my LS will help...so I'd say I'm ok. As soon as I get that Exoray Mold and Bomb Coal, I'll be set.
