Drk/Thf question

Hello,

Since Dex and Agi improves the Sneak + Trick attack. (forgot which is which.)


Then would DRK's absorb spell (choose between Dex or Agi, given the long casting time, casting both is not feasible) be a major boost before pulling this off: Souleater + Last Resort + SA + TA + WS.

Is there a significant difference by casting absorb-dex/agi spell right before the S+L+SA+TA+WS?


I am only a 54 drk right now , so the above scenerio is 6 levels away... But I would like to have a mental preparation before actually playing DRK/THF after 60.

dex and agi boosts do not affect sub thf's sneak or trick, IIRC. sub thf sneak is normal critical, not sure about trick. absorb-agi is much more practical, imo, since it lowers evade -- thus increasing all other melee dmg dealer's accuracy.

Souleater + LR + fuidama will of course get you more damage, but as said above, you will only get a 100% critical hit from sneak attack. +Dex doesn't affect sub thf's Sneak Attack, and same goes for +Agi for sub Thf's Trick Attack.

65 is when this combo works best. 60-64 guillotine with berserk/double attack is much stronger than with sneak/trick. at 65 is when u get crossreaper and spinslash that is good with combined sneak/trick for closing a lvl 3 renki.

sub thf sneak/trick does not get the boost by dex/agi.

Hmm, so Drk/Thf is only good after 65 because of Cross Reaper... Pulling guillo with this would not be optimal?

I was looking forward to play drk/thf at 60, but now I guess it's 11 lvls after :\ Because thief is such a fun job to play ^^

And one more question regarding drk/thf, after the initial fuidama on the tank, do most of you just wait until a sure kill with fuidama WS on 2nd tank. Or do you go all out with just trick on main tank?

given:

sub thf sneak atk is a normal crit
dex affects your normal crit dmg

doesn't it follow that even as a 100% crit sub thf sneak atk would still go up in dmg with more dex?

im pretty sure dex affects only the crit RATE, not the crit damage.

drk/th is a decent hate manager, but not as damage dealing, its good to have as a option that you can give to the pt. using guillotine as a hate manager is decent, but does not produce optimal damage.

well it really depends. if the main tank is a pld, fuidama on the second tank does not matter much, as in the main tank can hold the damage. if it is a war, you would have the second tank provoke so that you can re-apply fuidama on to the main tank. fuidama is damage. damage should and has to be constant for the pt to be optimal. a normal fuidama shouldn't pull the hate from the main tank tho. espcially since sub thief is not as damaging as a thief main.

no. the dex= more chances of crit.
