  • Drk's Weapon Skill Caps

    I was thinking of creating a Mnk/Drk or a Drk/Mnk (you can see what I was talking about in the Monk forum "Mnk/Drk"), and this question came up...

    what are the weapon skill caps for the Drk? We know that his best weapons are the Scythe and G. Sword, but what about the other weapons? Where do they cap?

    One example was (because the discussion was involving a Drk/Monk), if the Drk's Scythe weapon skill was capped at 100 (no idea what the Drk's lvl would be), what would his H2H weapon skill be capped at? 80? 90? 25? (God forbid)...

    Perhaps someone can enlighten us about this matter... and maybe someone has a link to a site with the weapon caps for each job?

    43 Monk; 25 Warrior; 20 Theif; 10 Dragoon; 11 Dark Knight; 7 Ninja.

    Mage:
    55 Red Mage; 32 Black Mage; 27 White Mage.

    In the Previous patch, the Greataxe and Axe skills were increased for the Drk. The Greataxe was increased to B+ and Axe B-. Meaning the Gaxe will be capped at 233 for 70 and 223 for the Axe

    *as opposed to 251 for Scythe and 244 for G.Sword*

    Of course correct me if i'm wrong on the Gaxe skill levels feel free to correct, this is what i've heard and not by experience.

    As for h2h, Darkknights get no skill in this despite being able to use a good deal of h2h weapons. So in otherwords if your a drk/mnk, your h2h skill will be that of what your mnk level is.. so if you 60drk/30mnk, your h2h skill will be equal to a 30 monk.

      Wow... that is some good information.

      It does surprize me that the Drk does not get any H2H weapon skills, because I did see some H2H weapons that had a lvl60+ requirement which were usuable by the Drk (along with War, Rdm, Thf, and Monk). So I expected that the Drk would have at least something to show in terms of using that weapon which is an option to him...

      Here is a question: Where do ppl get these "ratings". I looked in many community sites and I have yet to find a clear document of these weapon skill ratings. Can anybody point me to a site/link?

            Yeah i had H2H maxed fort my THF at lvl 30, so it was around 100 i think or 90, anyway, i used DRk and when i got my DRK to 30 my H2H skill was showing up and it was like 38 or something, probably even less.

              You what I find surprizing? I was looking at the AH items under H2H weapons, and I find that some of the H2H weapons have DRK as a job able to use the H2H weapon. I am talking about weapons for DRK lvl 60+!!

              Why would that feature be in there, if the DRK has NO H2H weapon skills?

              Am I missing something?

                Everyone can use a 1h club i think. :p

                Not sure why, but heck why not? By that logic, all classes should be able to equip all the weapons, if only with minimal ability.

                  Same thing with BLM and 1 hand swords. They are able to use Tuck (or atleast it says they can not sure if its a typo or what) even though they have no sword skill... Pretty weird.
