Chief kabobs last 1 hour rather than 30 minutes, add the same amount to stats, only it doesn't have any penalties. Considering the prices, you're only paying around 500 more gil per 2 stacks, as 1 stack of chiefs = 2 stacks of normal. It saves a lot of inventory space as well.

personally i used grilled hare at low levels for melees because. your exping off of rabbits so the meat is aviable, and it does add 10% ish to your attack, at low levesl when your attack is like 30, and the diffrence between hare and kabob is minimal it doens't matter nearly as much, however post lvl 20, meat kabobs or bust
