  • cross reaper ?

    question ...i am just now trying to decide if i want samurai or theif as my subjob in the end Sneak+trick+crossreaper>Guillotine+meditate+guillotin+guillotine.?...now i know what 1 is safer..and the mages would love you more for....but what 1 will kill the monster faster w/o actually getting u killed?..awntawn says /thf is the "best" rout..and his oppinion is great value but i dunno ...i wanna see the health dissapear even faster then when a thf uses sneak+trick+viper ^^

    Apprently with Sam subbed Guillotine loses alot of its dmg. I've talked to level 60 Drk's who switched their sub to sam, and then switched it back to war or thf because they found that although they could spam guillotine, the lost of damage per ws and extra hate gained was not worth it.

          Yes, it's like this The important thing is that level 3 skillchains are very strong, MB's are very strong given they're the proper element that the monster is weak against, and that DRK can do both level 3 skillchains just as effectively, which covers all 8 elements.

          For 5 chains, you have to kill the monster in less than a minute, whereas the previous fights give you more time. Nuking wins over consistent damage in this aspect. For example, with spinslash here's what I'd do (or try to). Not exact, but a rough outline of what I aim for.

          First monster: charge up
          Chain1: plenty of time for chain, heal as much MP as possible, then pull and use skillchain at the start, charge around half TP at the back of it.
          Chain2: Charge some, skillchain at the mid of the fight, have some TP at the end.
          Chain3: charge TP, usually finish the monster with skillchain + MB
          Chain4: Pull VT rather than IT, bust souleater to finish it faster while charging. When you pulled your chain4, you should have located your chain5. Note that not all parties can chain5 D;
          Chain5: Tonzura and pull your chain5, skillchain at the start and BLM blows the rest of his MP to kill the thing.

          With cross reaper it's kind of similar, but I use souleater with cross reaper (2 hits, more effective, can MB drain back the HP you lose). Each party's method varies, depending on what you can take, but eventually you'll fall into a loop. Puller is important for EXP, lol :D I don't trust anyone else to ^_~

          With just guillo guillo guillo, you kill monsters at the same speed, higher chains become much harder to do.

              Only way you're gonna get it without buying it outright is to craft it yourself, which would probably cost 345374765 times more than just buying it:p

              By the way, hauberk costs 3.5 mil on my server, so consider yourself lucky
