well i was looking..(no absorbs currently -_-)...and absorb DEX (looks mighty appetizing)..but it costs 300k.....='( anyone know what monster drops this!?...i want it >_< plz help~

Don't worry about dex.

Just get agil for now, it's really more than you could ever need. Dex is mostly just for showing off :sweat:

Agil and Str are the only ones I ever use; I haven't gotten dex yet cuz all my friends who have it say it's not worth it lol. Hauberk > Absorb dex ?R(;?L„t?M)ƒm

if the dmg formula revolves around comparing monster agi to your dex, wouldn't abs-dex and abs-agi do similar things?

absorb agi takes away their agil, so its lowers their evasion rate wich is sorta like upping your acc rate... btw people with maxed out drkmagic, how much do you absorb? i absorb about 10-12 is that about right?:spin:

Meh, 250k isn't as bad as other things. Peacock charm is the most expensive thing i've ever seen at the AH. On midgard it goes for 4 million. If I ever get to the point where 100k comes easily.....i'll be happy.

Yeah, mine's about the same, and my dark magic is almost 190 now. I don't check it often, but it seems to be in the 10-15 point range no matter what.

agi vs dex is kinda iffy. technically, lowering the monster's agil should let you hit harder than raising your own dex. if the ratio is 50 to 50, your acc to their evade, 50/40 is a better ratio than 60/50. Not only that, but it lowers their evade so that everyone in your party can hit better, not just yourself. On the other hand, dex will have a longer effect, as some monsters (though most have the down status count down at the same rate as the up status) recover faster due to resistances. Dex will definately last you longer. Of course you can stack both probably never miss, but considering the MP cost to cast both and the cast time, I don't think it's worth it.

Absorb dex does lower the monster's dex, however... whether this helps the tank's job much or not I have no idea. However, I am a dark knight; my job is to make the monster dead, the survival of the party is none of my concern :p

I too used AGI and STR up. Before a WS, I would have them on so if I get the hate atleast my evasion would be up to evade a few hits.

I usually absorbed around 17 STR and AGI. If DEX is the same then I don't see why it wouldn't be worth using it. I do remember Awn saying that absorb DEX is useful when using vorpal scythe WS, as the more DEX you have, the more chance of a critical hit (the WS has a critical chance).
