In my opinion, yes. there have been several times recently that our BLMs' sleep has been resisted and by some stroke of luck, mine works. Their enfeebling is maxed, mine was around 39 at the time (should have been ~100). Besides, if your blm is the one being hit someobody else needs to be the sleeper since they're probably being interrupted.
To raise your enfeebling fast, just pull with poison instead of an x-bow. I went from 39-72 in one day of pulling bats in a levelling party. You're not likely to keep your enfeebling maxed though, you don't have the time to waste in battle recasting poison when it wears off, bind never sticks, and we don't really get any other enfeebles.

Usually I cast bio first thing on a monster when someone pulls, should I just replace it with poison? And does enfeebling still get raised when it gets resisted?Avenger~ Fighting the Future to Avenge the Past

Not sure, but according to this site:
http://www.ausystem.org/~aushacho/gbox/ff/skill-e.html
it will only raise if not resisted. Also, I think that your skill rating for a certain skill affects how often the skill will raise. For instance, when I use a spear (skill E currently @ 125) against decent challenge-even match monsters, it still rarely ever goes up (and I hit them often). Then my WHM friend, who uses a club (skill B+ @ 140 or so) fights the same monsters with me and gets tons of skill ups.
As a DRK with C enfeebling, your skill won't go up as fast as, say, a RDM's, but should go up at about same rate as BLM or WHM theoretically...I believe in karma. Anyone I treat badly probably deserved it.

Just a FYI, I PT with several DRK's, the spells I see them cast the most are :
Drain
Absorb-VIT (hit them harder)
Absorb-AGI (reduce their evade, very nice)
Aspir
Stun (VERY VERY important... at later levels you will fight many magic-casting enemies who use long-casttime spells like tier-III spells and ancient magic... a well placed stun will interrupt them!)
I sometimes see them use other Absorb spells (STR and DEX). Are Absorb spells considered enfeebling? Because if they are, it might be worth it to raise your enfeebling since I see these spells get resisted a lot, but when they do work the difference IS noticeable.I believe in karma. Anyone I treat badly probably deserved it.

Absorb spells are dark-based like drain/aspir/stun. The only enfeebling magic drks get (that I know of) is the poison series and sleep/sleep II.

A fun use i found for sleep is using it when i solo and the fight is too even. So i cast sleep, disengage and use sneak attack/sturmwind.
A extra 200 dmg is always fun to get.
Other than that beside using it to cc adds or put a mob to sleep so i can aspir/drain it again are the other use i found for it.
It's a good runaway spell too, granted it stick.war 55 - drk 49 - whm 45 - blm 33 -nin 31 - rng 30 - Mnk 25 - sam 21 - thf 19
