Level 40 Dark Knight Armor

Aight guys,Ill be level 40 soon,hopefully by this weekend. I have about 100K and Im looking in what to buy at level 40. I currently have Royal Squire Helmet,Gloves,and Boots. Centurions Body and Pants. I was thinking of what I wanted to get for 40 was.
Iron Musketeer Helmet
Breastplate
Iron Musketeer Gloves
Cuisses
Iron Mustketeer Boots
What do you guys think? I know it prolly isnt good but has good defense but some lag's in Dark Knights bonus stats. :dead:
What do you think I should get for level 40?

Nothing wrong with that, IMO.. IM gear looks really nice

Breastplate should be cheaper than the Sandorian CP armor (lvl40 +1 Dex). It really shouldn't matter much what you pick.

Or if your dirt poor and dont care for looks, then the Cuir Bouli (leather) set should generally be very cheap, at lvl 38.

btw, because i'm cheap, i'd just the breastplate and save up for sniper's rings.

If I had a low budget I'd rather go royal squire chain body and pants, and for helm gloves and boots just go with cheap platemail; cuz the IM parts for those aren't that useful in terms of your role as an attacker... unlike royal squire :p Though I'll admit IM pieces look sexier lol.

Ideally, at that level in terms of armor, you should try to have Royal Squire gloves (+acc), body, legs, valkurm emperor headpin, and leaping lizzy boots. Pin and Boots are 150% luxuries though (expected if you're a THF, however haha), but they are so damn good.

I am a cheap ass, i just hit lvl 40 today and went full plate. Maybe im wierd but i like how the plate stuff looks. however i found that i really need +acc so i put the lvl 30 royal squire mufflers back on for the +acc.

royal squire mufflers will be good until royal knight mufflers. those things are damn useful and they resemble grim reaper gear.

As has been stated, Iron Musketeer LOOKS nice, but most of the pieces don't really benefit us, save for the helm (vit 2) afaik.

Take Royal Squires full suit, than hit up a Brigadine (got it for 29k, see it's now at 32k), which is +10 hp, +2 dex, +2 vit. Plus it looks badass.

Over the rest of the armor, I am still confused. I took off the royal squires helm and put on a electrum hairpin for +25 mp -10 hp. As an elvaan I prefer having some more mana anyways, so I don't mind the loss in some def and hp.

I stuck with a Merc. Cpt. Belt (+1 dex, +1 vit, +1 agi, +1 int, +1 mnd, +1 cha) till 43, when you can get a sword belt (+10 attack), than FINALLY switch to the belt that is your god, Life Belt (+10 accu).

Neck wise I stuck with tiger stole (+5 attack), earrings were beetles earrings (+2 attack, -2 evasion) and rings were the lvl 36 ones (+2 dex), name escapes me atm.

Also sporting a power crossbow (+1 agi).

Now, I am not sure where else to go, don't really see anything coming up that is too interesting. Of course gotta save up cash for Barbarians Scythe (the selling of the squires chest will gurantee this) and do some RSE farming to maybe get money towards either Archers Rings or Emperor Hairpin, both priced around the same on Valefor.

Thanks guys,as you heard ive got Lizzy,and ive got a couple technique's on getting boots. So I just was curious,even thou once you hit 40 the Royal Squire Mufflers,Boots,Head have really bad defense but have uber stat upgrades. Im still not quite sure. I like how I.M. shit looks so damn badass with Breastplate and Cuisses...Not totally sure yet,but thanks ^^

lv 36 +2 dex rings are called ametrine rings
there's also a +3 version called deft ring.

ive spent so much conquest points on the Royal Squires set..and i will never get the Iron Muskateer set ^^ rather look sexy in the mythril set =D....i just completed the whole squires set last night after coming back from crawlers nest we got 2k cp..and 2 levels for all =D i lost my signet like halfway thru tho >_<..how much are amertine rings on everyones server?

LVL 36 +2 DEX ring is cheap. About 5K gil a piece on cerebrus.

I have the lvl 14 +2 Dex ring (so I can use it when I lvl my sub) and the lvl 36 +2 dex ring.

At 40 I went with plate mail body, boots, and royal legging. IM helm is a must for that great look. Kept my Royal squire's muffler from lvl 30. Still not replaced it at lvl 51, as I get my AF glove at lvl 54. So no point.

Life belt, and spike neckless. Got 2 Drone earrings equipped, very nice. Should hit 52 tonight, and then I can put on my AF2 boots.... it's been burning a hole in my pocket since lvl 50. Heh.

I had the royal squire gloves for 2 acc but had to switch to the hume custom gloves, just too good not to use, +3 dex +3 str plus a hp and mp is worth -1 vit and agi

my question for later in the game(15 levels or sumthing) what is better? the royal knights belt (like a HQ version of merc. captains) or a life belt(+10 acc.) :confused: normally i would say life belt...but i see alot of high lvls on my server wearing royal knights....and life belt only costs 50k on my server so its not exactally expensive~
