Subbing as a warrior

I got to thinking, and was wondering about subbing as a warrior. i am planning on going to lvl 30 with warrior, then getting dark knight, and want to sub warrior for my dark knight. but if i go to 30 with warrior does that mean i have to wait till my dark knight is lvl 60 to sub warrior? If that is the case i might get lvl 30 with another class, then get dark knight and sub warrior all the way.

You can do that. But your subs level will always be half, so it will allow you to be drk/war with war being maxed and leveled until you are lv60 DRK/WAR, in whichcase you must switch to war again and level it if you plan to level dark higher.

Forgive me. I do not understand. I plan to do the same. What happens if I level my warrior to level 30 and not pursue any other job until I reach level 30. When I get to 30, I change to Dark Knight and switch warrior to my sub-job. Then I continue from there. If I take this path, will I be put at a disadvantage from other Dark Knights?

Basically, what i'm asking is what is the best route to take if my ultimate goal is maxing out Dark Knight.

Whichever you want, but plz once you get subjob available use it. noone wants you in a party past LVL 20 without a subjob.

Well at lv18 you will have to take a small break because that is when you can get a subjob. Probably you will want to level monk or theif until 15 (these are the most plausible subs for a warrior before lv60). So when your warrior is 18 you switch to theif or monk, level it to 15, then switch back to warrior and level it until 30. Then you can earn the dark knight job, switch to lv1 dark knight and sub warrior, and just level without any worries about your subjob until level30.

Yes, you can level warrior to 30, and then get DRK Quest right away at 30. But, when you switch your main job to 30 after you've done quest, and you want to sub warrior. You can sub it right away when your DRK is at level 2. But it will only be level 1. The game will always make sure that your subjob is half as high as your main job.
