Noticed this forum actually didn't have this topic for an odd reason, so thought we can just compile the information here D:
Just posting what I know/read, anything incorrect lemme know so I can correct it.
Subjobs
/WHM - Very useful subjob. Useful for soloing early on due to a higher MP pool, more MND, Healing Skill which boosts the effect of Blue Magic healing spells, Protect and -na spells. Divine Seal also works on Blue Magic Healing Spells. Later on when /NIN becomes a bit more viable for soloing, this still sticks out as a good party sub for healing for reasons mentioned above.
/NIN - Good solo and party sub. Dual Wield is useful, plus Shadows help mitigate hits that you prolly will take once you start making your own Skillchains with Chain Affinity.
/THF - Viable once you hit 30. Sneak Attack stacks with Physical BLU spells, so it helps pretty much make 1 spell every minute really damaging. Combined with Chain Affinity it'll greatly increase damage. Safer to use at 60 once you get Trick Attack, so you can take all this new aggro and place it on someone else.
/RDM - Useful also for a support role in situations where you don't really need -na spells. Fast Cast can make up for the loss of -na spells. Also a possible DD sub for BLU from 30-40 something due to the Rapier Belt(+5 Sword Skill if RDM is your sub) and en-spells.
/SCH - Starts to shine at 70 with Sublimation, Light Arts(also boosting BLU Healing spells) and Dark Arts for Aspir and other spells makes for a really great support sub for BLU. I wanna say its better than /WHM overall after 70, but I'm leaving that statement to be confirmed by someone whose done/seen it firsthand as I'm just going by what I've read.
/BLM - Useful in certain situations where you are gonna try to be a magical BLU and need the extra INT for spell modifiers, plus Magic Atk Bonus. Don't know a lot about this to be honest.
/PLD - Viable after 70 once you get Auto-Refresh from subbing it(freeing up those points for other spells), better at 74 with Flash. Shield Mastery helps with casting, only problem is there are a few number of shields available for BLU at all, although by the time you can effectively sub this a good handful are available.
/SMN - Somewhat useful before 58 if you need Auto Refresh for whatever reason, although that's all you get from it. Can cast Blink on your whole party with Garuda, but aside from that Avatars are kinda bland when subbed like it is for most jobs.
/BST - Useful for soloing if your BST is the level or higher for the zone you're exping in.
/DNC - Overall useful for soloing after level 30 with Curing Waltz like it is for many melee jobs.
/WAR - Berserk at 30 and Double Attack at 50. As with any melee DD going /WAR is never generally a bad option, there are just usually alternatives depending on the party makeup/camp. Also useful early on if you wish to be a tanking BLU with the use of Cocoon to boost up your Defense, and self heal with Pollen similar to a PLD.
