Well I spent 3+ hours and over 2500 xp killing only crawlers and bees from lvl 12 to 13. I didn't learn a single spell. I'd estimate I had pollen and cocoon cast about 20-25 times. I shouldn't be surprised I guess, this is the way SE designs this stupid game where you need to spend 10 hours to learn a lvl 1 spell.

Do you guys think it matters what my level is relative to my blue magic skill? In other words do you think it's harder to learn the same spell at lvl 20 with 0 blue magic than at lvl 1 with 0 blue magic? If that's the case I might consider deleveling to 1 from 13 if it would make a significant difference.

Edit: I'm retarded and I guess I picked up both cocoon and pollen somewhere along the way. I only realized this after I finally learned sandspin and had to go to the magic menu to set my spells.
