Hello all, just wanted to let everyone know that I have not stopped working on the guide... but due to the next update coming up soon I have held back the next chapters in the guide until I can complete everything inluding information on the AF.

If you are Midgardsormr and you get information on the AF when it comes, please send me a /tell. I would appreciate any feedbacks and contributions.

Fast Cast doesn't affect Blu casting spells, just wanted everyone to know, been tested on Quetzy a bit

Khidir, thank you very much. I have been testing this method myself but its been hard to confirm with other BLUs... Thanks. I will be making the alterations when I post my v2.0 guide on the 25th.

Hi /wave i talked to him and he says somthin about telling the future i think then he says i dont have enoigh gill (127gill) and thats al he says is there somthing else i have to do to get BLU i only got Aht Urgan installed recentley so is it fame or somthing i need

and how do i get 1 of those sigs they look cool

You need to have 1000 gil on your person... From what I noticed, you just need to have it and he doesn't actually take it from you though. When I did the quest, I only had a couple thousand on me and had the same amount when I was done the quest.

Thanks Dweezle i realised they dont take gill of you i sent my muels gill to me and i stil got it all i hate that u have to wait day to do the next part of the quest and im jw about this question im a tarutaru and im woundering if i should go BLU/WHM or BLU/WAR what do you think?

Well I planned it out that I wanted thf for dex/agil bonus, not to mention, gill finder, steal, evasion bonus, later comes sneak attack, flee, trick attack, treasure finder.... I am a Taru, which have nice dex/agil to begin with... on top of that, since not picking a caster sub job, I have nice mp to work with for being Taru. Blu/War is great for defense, berserk, voke, str and hp bonus. Whm, you can heal, and get a bit more mp, but blm would give more mp if that is what you are going for.

Anyway, I'm a Taru BLU/THF and I love it, and won't do anything else, no matter how many annoying tells I get saying, you should do this, you should to that, or my fave "My friend knows this guy who is a high lvl Blu and he says that <job> is better, so you should do that. He's high lvl, so he knows everything" ... garbage lol.

Ultimately it's a game, to be played for fun, do what you want, what you think is fun, not what others THINK you should. Enjoy!
PS - CA + SATA + [Physical Blue Magic] = ownage!

Just test them out and see what works the best for you but I rather warn you that if you decide to go the /whm way, you may end up doing the same thing that happens to rdm/whm but not at low lvl (probably when you be around 58+ because of magic fruit) becomes main healer of party.

I took BLU/WAR because I am an elvaan and simply decided to focus on my strengths and before someone ask yeah I took care of the dex problem (+13 dex at the moment and if I go max dex in some parties, +20 dex).

In terms of sub jobs... I urge everyone to just experiment. We are still finding new ways to use all the subjobs. If you do a /sea all BLU you will notice alot of BLUs go either /NIN or /THF. Now... does this mean you have to, hell no! Infact I encourage every BLU I meet to try and experiment to find what works best for you.

In terms of the sig, please let me send me a private message with all your info (race, face#, job lvls, server, etc. I will hook you up and make you a sig.

k got BLU to lvl 7 lernt pollen wild oats and foot kick iv been tryin to get matalic boady and cocoon but im not gonna get it lol. iv decided to go BLU/WHM .

I just got BLU tonight (boy, was that quest easy thanks to your guide Spazz!) and I'm having a blast :D

Awilo is right, don't give up just cause you didn't learn the ability a couple times I gained Foot Kick and Wild Oats off the first Rarab/Mandy that I killed, but then I went from level 1 all the way through level 4 just killing bees trying to get pollen ... and that took about an hour lol. I'm currently working on Metallic Body, Cocoon and Feather Storm as I move along

Blu seems to be levelling a bit slower than my other jobs, but I'm having more fun since a good portion of it is selecting a specific mob type and concentrating on it (for the most part) trying to get a new spell :D

Anywho, back to having fun being a noob BLU :D

*Edit* Just one thing I have to add ... it IS supremely annoying to be turned away from a crab letting it hit you for 5 mins hoping it will use Metallic Body only to have it use Big Scissors >.< lol

Its not exactly levelin slower your makin it do as is every 1 trying to learn blue magic now and then

im just gonna leave matlic boady for when im in my favorite place Valkrum 8(
lol i want to learn al the spells so im going to Gustaberg noe to learn sprout smack and stuff then to ronfure for quezzy mushroom

It seems like it levels slow, because you aren't speedily trying to kill things - up until, say, 20, if you're actively trying to kill things, they fall over. Quickly.

They most certainly do! I decided to take a short break from letting crabs pinch my ankles and went to get some XP and up my Blue Magic skill a bit and all I can say is WOW!

Pull with Wild Oats, hit <insert DC mob here> once with sword, Foot Kick ... and dead mob :D
