What is your Blue Magic Bane?

Which Blue Magic spell so far has been the hardest for you to learn? And how long have you been at it?


For me its two days straight for battle dance, and I've been trying every trick in the book. Beastmen get more weapon skills than other mosnters, so its always hard to get them to use the ability, and even when they do, its no go...

Dhalmels have a 16.67% chance of using Healing Breeze.
Dragons have a 10% chance of using Body Slam.

Hardest ones to learn by far was Cocoon. Although Crawlers had a 33.3% chance of using it, I found that somehow my brain just couldn't figure out how the crawler did the move.

Power Attack was also kinda annoying to get.

having problems with Battle dance atm.. 0 learns out of two casts. the rest were pretty easy except for Metallic body.

so far i had no probs because i keep my blue magic caped i guess, i was in bumurimu and with a taru blu with a pl getting healing breeze his skill was not even near caped mine was caped took me first try to learn and it did healing breeze right away lucky for me , as for him i hung out for a half an hour and then left he still had not learned it, should i consider myself lucky?

Blue Magic skill has nothing to do with it, only resists. It's all RANDOM.

if its all random then i must be lucky cause most of my skills i learn are fist time only metalic sheild ,cocoon and quesyshoom i never learned on the first try

For it has been Sheep song and battle dance.... i wont level untill i get those.
Btw what is the gap from where you can learn a spell? I mean can you learn spells 10 levels higher than you. I know i wont be able to use them but i want to know if i can get them

The earliest ive learned a spell is 7 lvls.

Mmmmm so 7 seems the gap... interesting...
I really am liking blue mage but it definatley reqieres alot of patience!
I will try tonight again for battle dance and sheep song.

what lvl are you? sheep song is 16, and battle 12, so you would have to be at least lvl 9 :p (Of course the limit could be higher, 7 lvls is just my personnal highest)

I learned Bomb Toss at 19, or 9 levels early.

Hardest for me was healing breeze. I got over 2500xp off of 30-40xp Easy Prey Dhalmels before I learned it.

I have all spells up to date atm (lv38) and the only spells that I've had trouble with were pollen (bees... only got it at level 8 after killing hundreds >_<), and digest (slimes... long respawn time in Gusgen, and there's only one -_-; had to kill it 10 times before I got the spell)

I am level 8 BLU, and I cant seem to learn bomb toss, battle dance and sheep song, i will keep tyirng. I also need to go get wild oats and concoon... sigh.. long list.
