INT vs Magic Attack Bonus, what's the diffrence?

Okokok, I never really worried much about this, since at first the only magic attack bonuses you got were from levels, but i'm around the level were you can start aquiring equipment that increases your magic attack.

So, what's the diffrence? I've read that int adds like 3 damage to a spell, so how does the Magic Attack work? Is it like a certain amount of INT that gets added or something?

INT adds to damage. MAB increases a multiplier to damage.
