Not played for 6 months, need some BLM help

Right, I've been out the game for 6 months so where do I start?

I'm a Hume Lvl 13 black mage, nothing else. I have all the spells including drain up to my lvl and a lvl 16 spell waiting to be used.

I have a Willow Wand + 1 and I am currently in Windurst (home nation).


What am I to do? Where should I go? What should I buy? How should I group? Please help me with everything I need to know to get back into this fantastic game... (or why I have I been paying and not playing for 6 months?)

As for items... +int items preferably.

Armor isn't a huge issue but try to get latest spells always.

Get a party full of mages headed to the Maze of Shakrami. There you can take on gobs and Maze Makers. The Maze Makers drop a nice 200 xp (for your current lvl). I would lvl in the maze until 20 ... of course you wont be able to fight Maze Makers the whole time.

Maze is good until 15, head to Valkurm Dunes at 15 until lvl 20. After you hit 20 Qufim is your destination, lvl here until 25 then head off to Kazham until 30.

I recommend not buying the enhacing spells such as blazespikes. They are basically a waste of money seeing they are near worthless. You should be concerned about saving your money for much better spells like the ancient ones. They run around 300k.

if you hit edit, there's a check box at the top of the screen that lets you delete double posts (and in that case, triple posts). I don't know why people leave them in...
