Extra mp is great and all but you don't want to give up hp for mp.
Life sucks you magic burst with a GAIII if it ain't dead that big nasty monster that can do 400+ damage is heading straight at you and if you have a ninja tank its going to get in enough hits to plow thru stoneskin and blink and damn near kill you. I've seen Paladins get killed by monsters at lvl 70 Sickle slash 620 damage good night.... It gets worse when you are hunting HNMs......

quick question regarding pluto's staff. it says +10 mp recovered while healing on it, just like the dark staff. in fact thats the only reason i bought it. i didn't find out about the 10% bonus to dark spells until afterwards. what i wanna know is with the HQ staves, are the effects enhanced? i know the bonus is 15% instead of 10 but i've been told that a pluto staff will regen mp faster than a dark...any clarifications?

Pluto's Staff and Dark Staff regen MP at the exact same rates. The difference between the two is the fact that Dark Staff gives 10% bonus to dark-spells, and -2 mp to the avatar perpetuation cost of Fenrir. Pluto's Staff gives 15% bonus to dark-spells, and -3 mp to the perpetuation cost of Fenrir. So don't bother buying Pluto's Staff unless you plan on playing SMN (and have fenrir ), or if you *really* want that extra 4-8 mp/hp off aspir/drain.

Well, yeah, that's what I though too. Except when it finally comes to buying the staff, I realized that dark staff has been going up to 400k now, while pluto has been coming down to about 600k from it's original 800k... so I just went for the HQ.

Here's the kicker though, the entired dark staff/pluto staff market on Ramuh has been cornered by 1 single person. Every single sale of these staves are by him... so for some reason he found it profitable to raise dark staff price while lower the HQ price... :confused: :confused: :confused:

BLMs shouldnt have shields. Not even soloing.. we dont get any good club ws, and they are really weak.

What does Kirin Pole do? Ice staff is a must up there. Also, serket/vivian rings are much more important then diamond rings.

Kirin's staff is amazing, but Kirin is so ridiculously hard that you shouldn't even bother thinking about getting his staff. On Midgardsormr, only 1 LS has managed to take him down, and I don't think they've done it a lot. That ls is New Company. Recently, GO (Game Over) tried it, but I think they gave up for the time being. I wish them luck...meanwhile, my ls and I still fight Fafnir...growing pains lol.

well, i usually hunt tigers in batallia with the rest of the people...but if i find it a little slow, i try sauromugue. the spot for the rng quest has 3 sabertooth tigers (which link, batallia's do not) and 1 old sabertooth. they all drop fangs and hides. respawn time 5 minutes. i kill these for 1 stack per hour + hides. take them down with spells and med up the mp during the 5 minute respawn. 4 tigers every 5 minutes isn't bad, considering it takes 1 minute to kill one in batallia and then you have to run around finding more. problem is the sauromugue spot might be camped...

if both spots suck, i pair up with a melee with a thf 15 subjob who wants to make money (very easy to find ) and hit up beadeaux. target: garnet quadavs, old quadavs, and ooze. garnet quadavs drop reraise scrolls which sell for 1.8k to npc and mauls which sell for 2.1k to npc. old quadavs drop quadav helms which can be traded in for 900g to an npc in bastok. good way to raise fame. ooze drop slime oil which sell for about 6k per stack and dodge earring, which sells VERY fast for 45k. it sold within 15 minutes of me putting it up, and there were 10 more earrings in stock that day. also, there are plenty of NMs. you'll probably see them running around killing garnets. doesn't matter what they are, if you see one, kill it. drops range from 5k to 30k, or if you manage to get the one that drops valkyrie's mask, that sells for about 150k on siren. ignore go'bhu gascon and de'vyu headhunter.

edit: as far as i know, Gameover has not yet killed kirin. kirin's pole gives something like +10 int and mnd, +20 hp and mp, and +15 to all resistances. also damage 60, forgot the delay.

he also drops kirin's osode, which is like +10 to every stat .
