Avatar Weapons compared to Elemental Staves?

Does anyone know if the avatar weapons have similiar effects to the level 51 elementals staves?

i.e. Does Ramuh's staff have a similiar effect to Thunder staff's +10% more dmg to thunder spells?

It can use ramuh's staff, which is what he's referring to. I haven't fought avatars in a long time and if it does have the effect, i will trade whisper for ramuh staff.

Can you refight Avatars to get the Staff if you already have the Avatar?

yes, u can redo avatar fights as much as you want for alternative items or gil. You have to wait 1 earth day to repeat the same one i think.

I tested this theory last night with my Ramuh Staff and my Thunder Staff and the Thunder Staff did more damage against similar mobs.

I also noticed that the proc from the avatar items don't work nearly as often as the elemental staves.

Oh, and to whomever asked, the three avatar items that I know a Blm can use are the Titan Cudgel, Ramuh Staff and Garuda Dagger.
