Taru's have to manage their HP and abuse sleep II and bind in order to solo. In EXP groups, they don't have to worry.

Elvaan's have to manage their MP and conserve MP and wear a lot of +mp in order to EXP. Soloing, they don't have to (comparitively) worry.

Pick whichever you want and tailor your gear to compensate for the lackings of your race.

While leveling my BLM sub, I had PLENTY of MP compared to people I was PTed with. I had twice the MP of a Hume WHM that was in my PT. Sure, he COULD have had closer, if not higher MP than me, but people put so much emphasis on race, they think it's an excuse for bad gear. Granted, this was the most horrible WHM ever (he didn't even have poisona, sheesh, it costs like 3 gil:mad: ). I also had more MP than the Taru BLM that came into the PT later. I couldn't compare our damage though, as I was stuck healing since the RDM healer couldn't keep up with his mp pool. I maybe got in 1 or 2 spells before I had to heal for the rest of the fight :sweat: .

that's because it's your sub. Leveling my white mage, I had about 200 more mp than anyone else in the group. And that's without astrals.

Comparing yourself to noobs is silly...if that were the case, nobody would need anything...lol.

But to show you how much MP a taru really gets...
At lv62/31, I have 863 mp.

At lv75/37, a Mithra WHM had 905 mp.

Yes, I know whm's get less mp, but they also don't need as many +stat items, so they can wear enough +mp to make up for the difference. Usually, taru whm/smns have within 10 mp of me.

13 level difference, 42 mp difference. Cut that in half had I equipped my other electrum (and down to 12 if I wore astrals).

mithra or hume. Tossup really. I *think* Mithra rse adds more mp, so I'd give the toss that way (plus it looks sexier ), but if hume rse turns out to give more, then I'd use hume.

Same MP, and Hume has +3 Int (on the boots, good slot for it) where Mithra has +0.
