Elemental weakness often has little to do with the crystal the mob drops... bats drop wind but are weak to wind. Both crabs and pugils are weak to Ice and Thunder.

The best ones are probably Shock, Frost, and Burn. Frost and Burn don't stack so the one I use depends on the melee damager to BLM ratio. Usally Frost. Paralyze and Slow should come after Shock.

Crawlers' weaknesses are Ice, Thunder and Dark. Dunno about the level.

Taru int is the best by far. Just be glad your HP, Vit, and Mnd are better than his and you don't look like a doll.

I agree with what Coinspinner says, I'll just mention one thing.

The elemental list that you mentioned, is correct, and is useful if you need to fight elementals and the SMN Avatar fights. It also shows which BLM elemental debuffs will and will not stack with each other.

For instance, if you cast Shock(Thunder) on a mob, then cast either Rasp or Drown, then one of two things would happen. Either the second spell will simply bounce off, or the first will be removed to make way for the second. To determine what will happen, you figure out which element trumps which. In the case of Shock/Drown, Thunder beats Water, so Shock would stay on, and casting of Drown would just bounce off. In the case of Shock/Rasp, Earth wins over Thunder, so Shock would go away and Rasp would stay on.

Also, I've been doing 70-80 damage on Snippers w/ Blizzard as well (78 currently, unless resisted) at 21, and I'm also Hume. My recommendation is simply to buy a Wand (Yew Wand +1 will give +4 to each, if you can afford it, that'll last you forever, or at least L30ish) and a pair of Eremite Rings (+2 to INT for each ring). Then get a hairpin and some earrings for extra MP, and you're set.

I'd guess somewhere around 50+, as far as AEing them.. if you want to do a lot at a time. I tried in the lower 40's and couldn't really do more than 3 without worrying about taking too much damage. I'm pretty sure at 53 I'd be fine, but haven't tried in quite a while
