my choice is pumpkin pie, they give 3 int 40 mp cost about the same as melon pie which is 4 int but only 25 mp... maybe a taru will find melon to be sexier, who knows
for juice... any thing is cool but you have to make them while you level, i do that now coz i am trying to get my cooking up high enough to make pies for myself.
and of coz the birdy drink (yagudo drink) is godly if you can afford to make them on the road

FF Fan, most foods last for 30 minutes, then the effects wear off.

At lower levels: Bird eggs are nice, and you can get them free. Boil them yourself for relatively low cost (fire crystal and distilled water) to double their effect. Cinna-cookies will give you +15 max MP. The pies are also nice, apple pies cost about 225 gil on Phoenix, and give +3 INT, -1 AGI, and +25 max MP. The cheap juices (orange, apple) can also be nice at lower levels if you know you're in a tough fight. Honey can also be useful, it makes you regenerate MP slightly faster when resting.

I'm a noob, so bear with me. Does eating multiple foods stack? You say a food lasts for half an hour, so could you eat multiples of the same and get stacked bonues? Or 2 different foods and get the bonuses from each?

You can only have 1 food effect going at one time.
While you are under the effects of a food item, you can't eat another - it will tell you that you are full.

Be careful what you eat, eating something like dhalmel meat drops int by 5 points while raising more melee oriented stats

Ok one more question, I found a list with all the recipes n stuff, but they dont say what all the foods do, and the links on this site are broken for items so i dont know whats in them. Anyone got a list of what all the "craftable" foods do?

                  I have another question.

How do you find out what effect the food is having on you?
I can select the food icon and it just says "You are being affected by food you ate"

How do I know that it's giving me increases regeneration or boosted Int, etc. ?

Beats me! I'm a noob too. I would be glad to get a list of all the stuff to eat and what are the effects of each food.

Is it written in the Strategy Guild?
