So Ladykiki, when you solod as /BST, how much were you making an hour? was there a lot of downtime? Or did you just have other things to do during your downtime? Did you aim for like 1 level a day? I'd imagine leveling would be slow when I only have maybe 2-4 hours to play on weekdays.

I make the same as I would normally on BST, perhaps slightly more because of the added offense from the main job. However, you might find that you'll make less initially while you adjust to the playstyle of assisting your pets in suicide so you can grab a new pet.
My aim is usually to log on after I sort my other stuff out. Sooo. Work --> get home --> dinner/shower --> if i'm not tired, logon and get to camp asap --> solo with my Emperor Band and aim for 6000 EXP (4000 EXP, 6000 total with bonus). I may spread it between 2 days, i.e. 3000~ odd in 1 hour, log off, sleep, work, repeat and finish the bonus off.
With the addition of Emperor I actually like it more than Empress. With Empress I tried to logon everyday for 3000 EXP (2000, 3000 total with bonus) which seemed more tedious. Levelling isn't incredibly slow. Remember that the benefits of this is that you literally get to camp and begin, not:
Wait around (for invite) --> decide where to go --> travel --> buffs ~ --> who should pull --> fight
So that 1 or 2 hours you waste can be applied to something more productive.
With NIN you've got a handy eject button. Also, don't be afraid to use reraise items. I don't, because I'm cheap. But it'll help.
Fill in EXP gaps at Campaign in your 60s.
Downtime wise, I would say I have little to no downtime. Even if I need to rest, I have a pet fighting already and with signet your HP recovers reasonably fast anyway. On NIN you rarely take damage unless it's from AoE damage, but I decided to buy some hi potion tanks and down hi potions while I levelled. But them HP drain katanas should top you up quite nicely.
On PLD, RDM, DRK, THF, I heal myself so it creates no downtime. DRK is sometimes tricky if my Drain gets resists.
Also, random note. I don't "aim" for anything, I feel it creates a bit of a pressure thing on me. I "do what I like" I suppose, with the aim of trying to get as much EXP as possible without dying.
Oh man, if the sambas would work on pets too (Putting a drain samba on a mob and having the pet drain from it) that would be so uber cool. Too bad that isn't the case, DNC has alot of CHR though, and their AF weapon is CHR+3 (I think), this character's DNC is 62, i might consider it sometime down the line, idk how to play it though.

I didn't notice, I didn't start playing this character full-time until a few weeks ago. Well, i have been playing the character off and on, im the one who lvled this characters corsair. But never did campaign and was away in California during the whole WOTG expansion so when i came back and saw scholars and stuff I thought that was pretty cool.
I am so interested in trying /bst for NIN and BLU, of course, i do have the subjobs leveled already. I got a good scolding from a friend saying "No, because people who do /bst are just too lazy to level their subjobs, i know a guy who was 75PLD/10WAR!"
I'm like "well, thats great, but this character has all her subjobs leveled for all her jobs except /rng for COR" (Which by the way was not my fault, she didn't want me to lvl rng)

Nin/Bst would be similar to Rdm/Bst as far as the enfeebs go to a point. Instead of spamming enfeebs, I usually sit back and watch how my pet is doing. After I get a feel for what it needs I'll cast a couple of enfeebs, let the hate build a little more on the pet then go in for the melee.
Over enfeebling usually left me tanking early and having a half dead pet that I couldn't geto leave. With the changes to how a pet heals now though it is a little easier dealing with that end of it.
