Beastmaster Gear @ level 31 advice...

I'd like advice from some BST's here about gear. Right now, I'm level 31, and heres the gear I have. Just wanted opinions on it.

Weapons: War Pick +1, Frost Reaper (I get too much hate from this ><)
Shield: Lantern Shield
Pet items: Hare/Crab Familiar, Pet food Zeta
Head: Macro Nobles ribbon for charm, Centurion's Visor for melee.
Neck: Macro Spike Necklace for melee, BST Whistle for charm, Justice Badge for MND boost
Earrings: Beetle Earrings +1
Body: Centurion's Scale
Gloves: Taru RSE Mitts (+3 STR, +12 HP)
Rings: 2x Saintly for MND, 2x Hope for Charm, 2x Balance for Melee
Back: Nomads Mantle
Legs: Chain Hose
Waist: Friars Rope
Feet: Taru RSE Feet (+2 STR, +20 HP)

Anything I should change here? I'm trying to Keep high defence, while getting Max cure/enfeeble effectiveness, and charm success. I would like a Monster Signa, but they are pretty expensive right now (350k+) and chinese gil sellers have the NM camped around the clock. I only use the Friars rope because of the +5MP...if not for that, I would change to another belt.

Thats about the same gear I had at that lvl, except hands I had Ryl Sqr Mufflers and I never touch Scythes. Too much hate stealing. Purely axe. See if you can get hold of the military pick if you can. Cant go wrong with more accuracy.

Yea Gman your equip is more than good.

I am with beastlord on the scyth thing i have never used one out side of farming or just playing around.

I usually use a weaker axe even pretty much just because i am lazy ) i'm lvl 48 now and still using the af1. I think its time to upgrade to a viking axe but i really like our af1 stats.

Also below 40's i found picks seem to work better for me than axes little bit more delay in between swings seemed to let my pets keep hate better.

I was trying desperately to get a Military pick pre-31 but there were never any for sale. On Nov 8th one was sold for 50k, regular price in history was 30-35k. I find the War Pick +1 to be a freakin steal for the price (5k i think) and its the most damaging weapon up until 35 I think. On top of that, delay is only 303, when most Picks are 330+ delay. I can live without the extra 2 accuracy. If I find I'm missing, I can use my Battle Gloves.

I used the War Pick till I was lvl40 (AF axe). I was cheap at lower levels, and didn't thing it made a big difference.
