PT or Solo?

Last week I leveled WHM from 5-28 (I was /RDM), my original plan was to lvl to 31 but I wasnt having fun at all so I sell all my eq, and went back to be a BST, as soon as I change job and sent back my eq from mules... I get invite to PT (o.O), a regular PT not a BST PT, and after leveling with those guys 5 lvls they ask me to go static with them (O.O), and they are all well equiped rank 5-6 players, not n00bs with out a 6th player. Being in a PT its very diferent than going solo, its nice leveling 2 times a day, but the fun of runing around looking for pets trying to keep the ExpChain is out. I know that if I leave them, Ill end up hitting my head on a wall as soon as I get stuck in a later lvl, but oh the freedom of being a tuff lonely BST is out... what would you guys do? :confused:

As long as they dont expect you to keep jugs out the whole time while in places you cant charm (like Cape Terrigan or Kuftal at level 58ish) then go for it. If they want you to use jugs then you suffer the XP loss and will fall behind them, which sucks up more XP for you.

I say, PT now. Cause you'll figure out the whole BST exp method sooner or later.

Solo the easy levels and PT during the hard ones. I PT'd a few levels in my 30s and probably could have partied a few more. It makes things easier sometimes. I suggest use jugs when you're at the right level(tiger jug is nice), otherwise you're just leeching XP. /WAR sub helps too. I used WHM sub myself. Just make sure to use a jug when you can, your DOT will be amazing.

Im playing BST/WAR in that PT and Im the puller, from time to time the THF pulls also, Im using EM pets to beat the prey while the PT rest, if the WHM still doesnt have enough MP when my pet dies, I charm an EP to make time. If things get ugly I pop a jug. I know I could just pull with an EP or a jug and use it during the fight, but I like them to note that 1/4-1/3 dmg comes from Me (my pet). I could go BST/NIN, havent try it, but I think the delay time of 2 axes is insane, besides since Im using pets to pull there is not real use in Utsusemi.
