Pre-Leave, am I doing this right?

I am currently a level 17 BST and having a good time.. however, I am not sure if I am doing this right.

First question; What is the method to kill monsters? I basically charm a DC+ or EM, and then send it against a EM or T, T+ (depending on mob). Then if my pet is having a really hard time, I will assist and attack a few times. But always, I will make sure that my pet dies before I kill the monster. So if my pet is owning it up, I will Heel until it dies and then make a final 1 or 2 hits to kill the monster. Is this the correct approach?

Second Question. I hardly ever chain monsters. Even if I have a pet and a mob ready to go right after my last kill, it takes the pet forever to get the mob to low health (enough so I can heel). Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Pretty much, pre 35, we can't chain with pets often, simply due to the fight time being so long, not and have them die anyway... a friend of mine and i are duoing, and we can get chain #2 pretty often at 15/16, just a matter of having pets ready for when the current ones die

I have a tough time, but am able to get chain #1 sometimes. This only happens when I help my pet kill 2 em or tough mobs in a row. Usually I almost die because I have to take at least half the hate to keep my pet alive.

I'm a 16 BST and I tried Shakrami maze last night. It was going good till I tried to take a Maze maker when my pet only had 25% health... I ended up running for it and died from DOT choke. I think I'll try Meritiphaud Mountains tonight. I figure the mobs around the start like Jub Jubs, saplings and Lizards should make good pets. Problem with Maze was not enough EM or DC stink bats. At level 16, most were tough, so it was hard to get a rhythm going.

Didn't get good chains till lvl.23. That's cause the mobs arn't doing very much damage to your pet, and vice-versa. So battles are long. Esp waiting for your pet to get killed by the mob before you go for the kill.
