Can someone PLEASE help me?

Im currently a lv 12 bst who cant do anything except die or wait quite a bit for a bad prty.

Anyway i retired my bst from lving since I cant get a drop of exp ANYWHERE as a bst. But will probably go back to it if someone tells me what i should do.

-where should I go to level (im lv 12)

-What things do i charm there

-should i charm even match vs tough or dc's vs even matches?

-DOES IT GET ANY EASIER AS I LEVEL????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Poppipo, to answer your question about whether it gets easier or not, it does and it doesn't. You're going to get more ability's, like Release, that'll make things easier, but the mobs you're fighting are only going to get stronger and more dangerous.

hence there really aren't any crappy high lv bst's out there


if you are afraid of dying, where raises are just a wishful fantasy or slow exping, or extreme danger, bst probably isn't the job for you. Perhaps brd would be a better use of all that chr gear:spin:

but really, if you want to prove that you are amongst the most skilled players in the game, play bst. There's really nothing at all like it.

As for lv 12, I didn't really charm anything at this lv. It was faster for me to plow through many easy prey and lv up that way. I really didn't depend on charm till maybe lv 14.

If you think that is slow, then just wait till you get 16k exp on mostly decent challenge. I hear it's even worse at lv 67-70... what is that? Like 110,000 exp on lots and lots of dc, that all take like 5 min to die each? Bst is hard, stick with it and it's also the most enjoyable job in the game.

The job is the most fun job ever . What i can do just put my flag up while lving in highlands of easy prey and DC's then get an invite from a prty in valkrum!

But yeah, this job is too hard.....Im retiring it and playing some other job until someone tells me what hell im supposed to do right now, ya.

i dont know about lvling on that side of the world. i usually went where it wasnt a popular spot to lv. but whatever i did at low lv was mass killing ep's and dc's. em's if i thought they would die fast.

sounds like you should put BST away.. 12 wasnt that hard at all and it only gets MUCH harder as mobs get much stronger and stronger with more abilities that screw you up even more.

it does gets much easier at 35 but before then things get rough.. well good luck with it then.

it gets easier in that you got more choices of stuff to kill. However, it also gets worse in some ways.

Dying at higher lvs still happens just as often. Cept dying = loss of 2 hrs of work vs 20 min of work. Don't count on raises.

The "optimum" places to kill for exp are also alot more crowded. Since it takes so much exp to lv up, bst's will start to run into eachother and crowding with pt's also becomes a bit unavoidable as there are not that many places to go as a bst. And running into another bst might or might not be a good thing. Lv differences might prohibit you from pting, as well as language barriers. As it is, garliage might see bst's from lv 55 all the way to lv 60.

You can always kill easy prey and stuff for exp but remember, a bst's strength is based on their pets. You will kill somthing in an area as about as fast as a bst of lower lv for most areas.
i.e. in bostinobliquet a lv 54 bst will kill bats just as fast as a lv 58 bst. Fights take approx 5 min each be it easy prey or VT to you.

Good and bad. A lot more places you can farm for exp and cash too. But exp might be slower than molasses if there are no good places to go.

Don't give up though, it's not always bad but don't expect it to be a easy cake walk just cause you got leave. Things aren't all cake and tea parties.

i found a good way to look at it is...

when u solo u get 100% drops, more seals which means more bcnm40 runs, which means more money

also.. just any drops... you can sell to AH or NPC, w/e u want and make money. friend of mine told me 2 of his lvls were susposta get him ~30k a lvl if he xp'd in this area

so... even if the xp is slow, u still A) dont have to spend all day waiting for pt that. B) u play on your schedule, not have to wait on other ppl's.

but then again, if u are a mage/support job then ofcourse A/B wont be too bad for u. From seeing some friends of mine... if u dont have a set party, it takes forever to get a party at lv65-75 seeking in jeuno

ya well i got my bst to lv15, i still dont like bst cus all i do is die and get bad exp which isnt my idea of a good time, so what im gunna do is go bard and use bst as my sub to solo, yup
