  • Good BST Macros

Hey everyone, I wanted to see what Macros everyone uses as I am new to the BST job. As they are posted I will edit this post to keep them at that top as I am sure they will be useful to others.

Are there any good macros for using Widescan or Track? These could come in extremely handy, especially in conjunction with <scan>. Know of any?

Another advantage to using <stnpc> is that you can hit the macro while you still have a pet, select your next pet before your current dies, and as soon as it does hit [enter] to do the charm.

I have also started using <stnpc> for Fight so if something links, etc I can stay melee and target the other mob.

If you want to setup party messages for duoing it would be like this:

              /ja "Charm" <stnpc>
              /p (Charm) <lastst>

              Jobs: BLM60, BRD45, WHM38, BST31, SMN18, MNK17, THF16, RDM18, NIN11, WAR14

              ------
              Murphy's FFXI job roles

The Tank keeps the Healer alive. The Healer keeps the Tank alive. The BLM warps, THF flees when things look bad.

                Equipment Macro..

Would a macro like this work, or will I need a /wait somewhere?

                /equip main "Monster Signa"
                /ja "Charm" <t>
                /p Come to me, <t>
                /equip main Kabraken's Axe"
                /equip sub "Darksteel Buckler"

I find that I need a wait before I can change an equipment slot I already changed. My charm macro does

                  /equip head "Noble's Ribbon"
                  /equip neck "Bird Whistle"
                  /equip L.ring "Pearl Ring"
                  /equip R.ring "Pearl Ring"
                  /ja Charm <stnpc>
                  /equip head "Bastokan Visor"

And if I select my pet too fast, I end up with the Ribbon still equipped.

                    /equip main "Monster Signa"
                    /ja "Charm" <t>
                    /p Come to me, <t>
                    /wait 2
                    /equip main Kabraken's Axe"
                    /equip sub "Darksteel Buckler"

Tried this last night and it seemed to work pretty good. There were a couple occasions where I was left with Signa on, but thats not bad I guess for 6 hours of playing. I am guessing if I use my "Fight" macro too quickly, it does not have time to complete equipping me with my axe and shield. I like it though.

On a side note, I think it is very neat that game echos "Equipment has changed" to let you know.
