Yes, it will work. You'll get archery skill that way so that you can actually use bow WS's. MNK sub will work as well (SJ chakra! whee!).

If you'd like to see how well it works, however, you should try it for yourself.

You would get archery skill, but it would be capped at the RNG's archery skill. Since bst have no skill in Archery which is sad =\. So it will work to a certain excent but it is not a good a sub imo.. because if your 75/37rng if you try hitting IT's with capped archery at lvl 37 I don't think it would work ^^
