Axe or Scythe?

I still can't figure out which weapon I want to use when I become a BST. I've always kinda liked scythes but since they weren't as good for BST as axe I figured I just had to use axe. Now in a patch they say that scythe has becomely slightly better than it was before and now I'm having a hard time deciding again. I have heard people say level them both and scythe is good for PT. But I can't really afford to have two weapons around with me all the time to switch and most likely I wont be partying at all. So for me soloing as a BST, which would be better for me? And will one be better at a certain level because of a weapon skill or something?

But if you really must have an opinion, then possibly axe + shield. Scythe, you miss out on a few of the higher ws if you go bst/whm, since they are war/drk or drk only.

It's really not that bad funding both weapons, and it's fairly easy capping both each time you lvl, since axe is grade A, and scythe is now grade B I believe.

In my opinion axe is better for a few reasons, besides the obvious it being the Best weapon for bst, + the AF axe which is real good and stuff, but with an axe you can use shields for that extra defense which you need when you release pets, and also with the axe it has less delay so you dont take as long to kill the monster and it does less damage to you than with the long delay of a scythe and if you miss with the scythe your pretty screwed, id just say invest in axes, right now at 50 i still use the Viking axe which is pretty damn good

Isn't the Scythe better now? I thought the patch fixed it for BST? I use it and find great success in it when I am going SOLO.

1hand axe is a lot better. Only reason to use scythe is for renkei purposes (mainly once you get vorpal scythe so you can renkei with thf it seems) . We can never use guillotine or cross reaper, so we never get the best WS for scythe. The final WS might be good but we can't use it until lvl 75... in a couple months maybe I can tell you if scythe is worthwhile then ^^:

Scythe is really cool later when you get enough $_$ you can buy a Hauberk and be all black and have a scythe and can tell PT's your a drk =X hahah. Yeah BST scythe skill went up you can learn Spiral Hell which is the Last weapon skill for scythe. =X
