  • About elvaan BST/WHM

Im not sure if this has been talked about or not.. i looked through most of the posts.. but i was wondering what kinda MP an elvaan would have as a 75 BST/WHM have? someone said it was under 100.. Thats kinda discouraging, so i wanted to ask to be sure.

to tell you the truth I dont really know the exact number w/ or w/o equipment but it would be enough to cast cure on yourself a few times and be a emergency healer in a party I would assume

      118 MP...

advice tho, im a Elvaan BST/WHM at the moment, soon to go to BST/RDM, but you will want 2 seperate equipments by lv 50+

most Elvaan BSTs have Dex+4 rings and what not, i found a better solution, ok maybe not better. I have acc+ equipment that i switch out with macros over my charm equipment. Like Lifebelt and what not (+10 accuracy) this allows me to wear some high MP rings, like Serket Ring (still need one >< i could get one now, but damnit...need other shit) or Astral Rings.

RSE helps alleviate this problem mid levels.

I just hit 30, and I wear my RSE gloves and boots along with my Centurion breastplate and pants. It is so much help. I have about 101 MP now with those and my Friar's Belt.

I also just recently switched out my Opal rings for some Dex rings. Those are pretty nice. I'll either upgrade them to Dex +2 or get Electrum rings later on.

I have a 21bst/10whm Elvaan right now and always use apple pies. They are cheap and give me a total of 61mp at this level. 37ishmp with no pie. I have more than enough mana and I am physically able to tank. I would go no othee race ever as a bst.....but thats just MO. I can go non stop if the mobs are there for me to work with easily.

I think that elvaan are tailor made for this class. While tarus were pointing and laughing at me when I was healing in khazam, I am doing the same now as they are getting pummeled by a tough mob 98% dead. I know it will even out somewhat...... Seriously, if you need to use that much mp anyways...you are doing something wrong. I will work it like this, charm, set beast on target....wait....wait....cast para and possibily dia all depending on the target. Then I rest...aways from the fight. By the time the pet is dead and the mob charging me I am full. I tank himj dead and then cure myself full and repeat. Even 37 mana is plenty to do this with.

Course, if you plan on joining parties to heal , thats another story.

Yeah....one thing...if you are wearing armor 10 levels below you.....well damn, your gonna need more mp to heal. No doubt.

I used to have some +MP equipment, but I found that I never really used all my MP at once so I got rid of it. I'm hume with /Rdm sub so I dont get much MP, but all I really use it for anyway is Protect, Bar-spells (which can be done before the fight), Dia, Paralyse, Blind which are all pretty cheap spells - I don't cure in battle since it often gets interrupted (no aquaveil yet), and it doesn't help as much as the extra attacking time...
