Ok I'm lvl 5 BST and my charm don't last too long. What equipment should I get?

BTW I'm in windurst doing some quest at the same time I'm lvl up my BST/WHM. So far it has been easy lvl it up. I've tried charming 3 times, it's fun and all, but charming doesn't last too much.

Should I charm mobs and kill mobs of same type (rarab vs. rarab?)

Also what should I be charming easy, decent or even? (no tough, hehe) And when I charm them, what should I fight easy, decent, even, or tough? I know it might still be too early for asking this, since I might not try charming again until I get to lvl 10. But it's good to know before using my abilities.

I do think charming an even to fight a decent might cut the exp, am I wrong? if ít's true, is it worth it (exp wise?)

As you mentioned, your really better off not charming until at least 10th level. Before that just play as a Warrior..

At later levels optimal matchup is supposed to be Even versus a Tough. You let your even Die right as the Tough has very low life, and you run up and it hit the mob twice and get full exp.

At level 14 it seems best to destroy as many Easy, DC's as possible, and occasionally throw in an Even match.
