A Charisma Question

As a Galka BST/WHM or BST/PLD, I will have approximately 6 less CHR than a hume/taru/elvaan at level 50, and approximately 7 less CHR at level 60.

I was wondering... how much +CHR items do you guys where? At higher levels, is CHR really that important? You mostly just charm evens so you don't get a XP penalty, correct?

I'm figuring I can make up the CHR difference with Monster Signa. Do you all also wear Jester's Cape+1, Corsette+1, and Bird Whistles? What other CHR items do you wear? I know there are some +CHR rings but I wanted to use Astral Rings for those slots...

But anyway, this is just a humble request for more experienced BST's to tell me how much CHR has truly affected them in their journey. Thanks in advance.

I'm a lvl 16 hume BST, wear no +chr gear at all, and can charm even matches and below almost every time (yesterday I played for 2 hours, only 1 charm failed the whole time), and I can tame toughs most of the time as well. I imagine that with a monster signa and the AF gear you'll have no problems charming things as a galka.

I don't know how much tougher it gets at higher lvls though...

I was wondering the same thing too.. But im elvaan so im not super worried about CHR. Im just curious what kind of stat items in general we should go for as BST? MP and CHR?.. and what about STR? Or would a high str/atk make for to much hate when hitting the monster..? or..

I didn't explicitly use +chr items for taming until after 60. So if you swap in a monster sign you'll do fine as a galka BST.

I love CHR items and get them every chance I get. Only recently did I change out my CHR rings for DEX rings (I'm Elvaan and can't hit worth shit ;_.

Noble's Ribbon, Monster Signa, Bird Necklace. I always wanted a Jester's Cape. I'd always see the mule Jeuno selling them and Hotpockets fed me a dirty lie about them not working anymore and then he bought it.. bastard.

it's funny how the bards have driven up the price of CHR+ items... and how much since the NA release, i was talking to a jp friend and he bought the monster signa for 150k, which i would pay that for it, but now the price is 330k which i don't have...

I use Alluring headband (+1), 2 pearl rings (+2 each), hume rse pants (+1, and a welcome +32 mp I think), bird whistle (+3), and my Barbaroi axe (+2).

what lvl is that? i don't think i've ever seen that item...

I can't remember off the top of my head, but mid 30s I think. It's Def 7, +1 charisma, and +4 evasion.
