Must? No. Nice? Sure. Pity that +3 skill doesn't have more of an effect. It's one of the few bard music skill+ items in the game, but that still doesn't make it a must.

im personally part of the group that believes that skill is more important then chr except for god/hnms. so id say its the best thing unless your going after a god/hnm

Really gona have to disagree with this. Even at 74 i still use it. Not all the time but for the majority of my EXP PTs or i macro it out for melee buffs. I constantly swap between Errant, Minstrel and Vermillion for different situations. And if i could only have one of the three i would most likely chose the Minstrel's Coat over the other two. I've come to notice those who bash Minstrel's Coat are often ones who don't have it.

I macro in skill for buffs and I macro in CHR for debuffs. Problem solved. And yes, I do have this item, and my opinions are based around my experiences with it.

i dont understand why you say that, i've tested the effets of skill bonuses on buff-songs and given that my current eq puts me at the cap there isnt any reason to use the coat. i mean it doesn't actually add anything, minuet IV wont go any higher^^

So, based on your comment Nodachi, I can safely assume Wind Torque is really a plus to my job?

Sorry I know this Wind Torque discussion has been brought up million times before, and I have read every single one of them (which were available out there in the forums), and I still cannot make up my mind on whether I should go after this item or not.

I have about 500k to spend, and am now lvl 64, I really have a hard time to decide whether I should buy erase, wind torque, or upgrade my melody earrings. >.<

Hmmm, of those three i would probably say go for erase, it comes in handy so often, and even if you have another with erase in your party, you can cut back on their cast time by helping cast it as well. Wind torque is great and all but it's quite a chunk for the slot it fills. As cheap as it was, i still love the star necklace mainly due to the petty MP lol (is elvaan, i scrap for MP). But if you have cash to spend freely then i would deffinitly say wind torque is worth it.
