  • /wait 1 or 2?

When using /equip macros for instruments, do you use /wait 1 or /wait 2?

I started with /wait 1, but it was weird seeing half the song finish before my char appeared... and I felt like I wasn't getting the benefit from the instrument change, so I changed to /wait 2. I haven't bothered testing yet, but does /wait 1 work properly?

You don't need any /wait if you want the benefits from instruments. All that matters is if you have the instrument equipped when the song takes effect.
You can use /wait 2 if you want to see your character singing and hearing the song but otherwise...

    /ma "Song" <me>
    /equip "Range" "Instrument"

    or

    /equip "Range" "Instrument"
    /ma "Song" <me>

    works perfectly fine.~

There is no need to use /wait at all.

What matters is the instrument you wear when the song FINISHES casting.

Both replys are correct. Long as your instrument is equipped when your casting counter hits 65 % your song will be effected by the instrument. /wait may be nice to see your character but really it's just delaying how long it will take to get buffs up.
