It charms like a BST but the charmed monster only attacks things that you attack or attacks you, can't do anything else with it. Also if I remember there isn't an EXP penalty for those charms though, unless I'm mistaken?

never really test cuz just hit 75 ...

but the mob u can charm is prob the same type BST only like u cant charm gobs, orcs, etc

well..at 75..dont think u can charm any leveling mob anyhow. which is probably useless

Not true, Virelai can be resisted, I've had it happen.

Does it let you 'refresh' Virelai before it wears off? I mean, is it possible to keep a pet forever (with the proper haste gear so the recast is low enough). Or do you have to let it wear out and start attackin you before you can tame it again?

i never tested it with the +1 or +2 virelai instrument but with a normal instrument its:

with haste and double march you come up 9 seconds short of being able to recast on a full length charm.

also the monster has a chance to partially resist, so sometimes it will go uncharmed mid-way through.

also it attacks what attacks you.

its basically just another means of crowd control.

What have you all got resisted on? I Must be lucky, not had one yet, but i was using Light Staff with it

Only thing I've ever had resist me are the spiders in Dragons Aery.

its a partial resist, like when lullaby wears early.

can't recall anything ever actually resisting the charm.

ya the charm seems to not get resisted but the duration is short

Heh as I said in earlier post, I have had FULL resists on Spiders in Aery. Not partial but full

I have also had full resists on Virelai.

I'm wondering if the new BRD JSE combined with a Virelai +2 instrument would allow a BRD to re-charm a pet as soon as it wears off? Could be pretty interesting =)
