how useful are the carol songs?
i havent bought any of them since its tight on cash, im mainly focusing on the things i know i will use ( minuet, paeon..)

is it worth the money? or just one of those things ppl never cast?

You will never use them except in avatar fights as far as I've seen. Brd friend did use two carols once to semi effectiveness in zm4 by throwing out 2 different ones in hoping of luckily blocking the random summon 2hour in that fight, he guessed wrong, but luckily I guessed right with my barfira. :sweat:

7 of the carols have usefulness for avatar fights. (Don't have to fight a light based avatar yet).

Fire Carol is good against Goblins, Dolls, and Bombs.

Light Carol is good for fighting Crimson Toed Pawberry and useful for ZM8.

You won't really use 'em during xp situations. =/

there are several end-game fights where you'll need them.

i can't think of any exp situations where you need them tho.

I'm sure they'd be helpful for some BCNM battles as well. Say you're fighting a bunch of worms, use stone carol (I've heard it can help a lot).

Compared to vital songs like the Ballad series, Carols really aren't that important. They're somewhat useful in certain situations, such as the avatar battles...but other than that, they won't be getting much use at all.

Carols are only useful in fights where Bar-spells are absolutly vital. (EX: Bomb's in Ifrit's Cauldron)

Apart from that, you'll never use them in an exp PT, or on any other monster.

Get them when you can, but if there are more import things you should be buying like instruments, then wait on them.

They times you use them and need them, they prove to be extremely useful. It'd be nice if they didnt have such a long cast time considering theyre less powerful than normal bar spells.
