Bard farming gear

At lvl 75, what would you say is the optimal farming gear for BRDs? Nothing too pricey like the scorpion harness , something a normal bard could afford.

Basically just for ease of farming for crafting ingredients

What is your "current standing" on Fairy? If you're in a HNM LS request a Genbu's Kabuto and Suzaku's Sune-ate for incredible def, a bunch of hp and resistences up and free Blazespikes. Pant's wise, you can't go wrong with Coral Cannions for the STR+5 and for Body I'd suggest getting a couple of friends together and hunting Ose for Assault Jerkin. Amemit Mantle for back (dunno how much it is on your server but it's dirt cheap on Ragnarok). Phalanx or Sun/Ruby Rings, Melody Pierces for the added evasion while attacking. For neck, you can keep your Stars Badge or, if you're from San d'Oria, get a Rank 8 T.K. Collar (Def:7 Attack+5 Accuracy+5 outside nation) or even a bog standard Spike Necklace. Weapon wise, just stick with dager and Evisceration - Hornetneedle is good.

- Genbu's Shield, Elegant Shield

- Carapace Gauntlets, Battle Gloves

- Choral Cannions

- Choral Slippers, Desert Boots

- Melody Earrings (+Evasion Skill is good for farming)

- Minstrel's Ring, Electrum Ring

- Life Belt

- Amemit Mantle

Get a wyvern perch, a cardinal vest, your cannions, AF boots, that beret thing with +acc and +eva or maybe your demons helm for extra def. High lvl daggers are waaaay too expensive to use just for farming imo. Staves are better dmg wise anyways. Spirit Taker will make it so you can solo very easily too. And maybe a mithran stone and an amemit mantle. All those things are dirt cheap! At least on ragn.

Assault jerkin is OK, but its not as fantastic as people make it seem. I wouldnt go through the trouble of getting it...i have one, im considering tossing it XD

If you can get the HNM stuff, then go ahead and get that! But i wouldnt hand in my chips for soloing gear personally unless i were confident id get what i REALLY want. If you can get any of those items, id go for genbus kabuto and shield combined with a dagger.

Havn't put research into this particular thing but i'd actually swap out tiger boots for AF, you lose evasion and + wind elemental but you gain a bit more def and + attack out of it. Also instead of opo crown or carapace armor as mentioned in the top post i'd probably get that bandana that allows all jobs to get the enhanced effects of rice balls. Ups def, dex, str, atk and increases chance for double attack (this is, if you're willing to pay a bit to farm as you eat food to do so.)

Another good thing to have for farming is the lvl70 JSE earring with -30% phys damage. I usually don't equip it unless I'm in yellow/red HP, but it's nice to have incase things get messy.

Yeah BRD's 70 JSE earring is perhaps one of the best JSE accessories in game lol. Duno if i'll rock it in EXP PTs but i know for BCNMs and farming/messing around i'll usually have it on.
