CN Chest key

ok, sorry if this question has been answered but I couldnt find it elsewhere...

I am lv50, have got my knife, and received the quests for cuffs and slippers. I have a key for CN (where you get hat right? correct me if i'm wrong)

I was wondering if I use the key now will I get the hat, or do I need to wait until I have done one (or both?) of the other two quests.

I'd appreciate it if anyone could confirm this for sure.

Be aware of the difference between a Treasure Chest and a Treasure Coffer. Your Crawler's Nest chest key (I'm going by your topic title here) will only open chests, while the Choral Roundlet is found in a coffer, for which you'll need a Crawler's Nest coffer key.

Neptune is absolutely right. What you're looking for is a coffer, not a chest. If it's a chest key you have, you won't find your Roundlet. You have to go back and kill the higher level mobs in the Nest for a coffer key.
