BCNM40, 50 or 60...

Which is the better gil-maker vs. least risky for a Taru-taru BRD, given average+ equipment?

I've gotten smoked in almost all of the 12 attempts of "Steamed Sprouts" (Giddeus/mandragoras) I've had with BCNM40, and am willing to concede that I just suck at it.

Does it get any better with the mimics in BCNM50, or the uber-bomb or Yagudos of BCNM60?

I am almost willing to level BST in order to win more BCNM40s, and I shudder and cringe at the collossal amount of time and gil needed to level a craft - my highest craft skill is woodworking at level 3 ; ; )

And we all know all too well how great us BRDs are at farming...


Add-on: Has anyone regularly fought in the low level BCNMs (20 and 30) and gotten drops that could be profitable?

40 is very easy if you know how to do it and you can get good scrolls like Erase, Phalanx, Utsusemi.

To say 40 is easy... doesn't really cut it. 40 is difficult... but possible to consistantly win with good players. Not only do you have to be smart, relaxed, and able to adapt to the situation... so does everyone else on your team.

I'm told (and read) that 50 is pretty much not worthwhile on the seals-to-gil ratio. 60 is very nice, however I'm finding a lack of good players on my server who have 60 seals to spare! I get the impression people are over-doing BCNM 40.

Edit: 60 also drops the two big scrolls.. plus torques and elemental ores. Mysterytour has a nice list of what drops from what.

I whore the BC40 in Holaris Peak with 2 bsts and a rdm as soon as I get 40 seals. I've done the mandragora one maybe once, and I did a few BC60s (Sahagins, Giants) but always come back to the BC40 because 1) less seals to enter and 2) BST in BC40 is borderline cheating.
