Im happy that this shield gives +1 to CHR, this makes up for the loss we take since we can't use a Signa or Light Staff with it. But this item is more like a toy than an actually usefull peice of equipment since we dont have a Shield Skill and a Monster Signa still gives more CHR than a Kard + Elegant Shield. Looking at your total amount of gil, how much did you spend on this item?

The stats for the sheild look great But how much on average would you say that sheild would sell for. Because 240K sounds like a bit much for it for me to buy.:p

I'm not sure, It's rare but i have no idea where it comes from. I was checking through the new item lists last night when this caught my eye. Supposivly the level 30 series of JSE type shields allow bards to equip, but they are not yet up on AH. I've always wanted a shield and this adds +1 CHR and +6 MP so i thought it was worth it. They sold pretty fast on our server just like most of the new items, i'm sure they vary on other servers.:sweat:

Yeah, but 1 DEF...and I guess the +1 CHR and 6 MP is ok...but I think the most I'd pay for this is 50k...I'd wait until genbu's shield if it was 200k on Ragnarok :sweat:

FYI guys, theres another Shield for BRD too. Its called Killer Targe, gives CHR+2, MP+5, lv 30.

There's a huge number of new garrisons and BCNMs. I suspect 90%+ of the new items are gonna be coming from those.

Actually there are like 7 new shields for bard...there is a whole new wave of level 30, latent effect shields that are For All jobs...I guess that one is the only one that's going to be good for bard though.

I expect the latent effect shields are triggered by subjob just like the lvl 30 latent effect earrings. Although the latent effect and the name of the shields dont really make a lot of sense. Why would a whm sub need +2 dex? This might be squares way of encouraging people to try out new subjobs. The latent effect could be triggered some other way though, no telling till someone buys one and tries it out.

One thing you may want to keep in mind too is that some items do have hidden effects. Who's to say that the Elegant Shield won't boost some songs effects. Won't know that till it's tested more.
