I've been lvlling MNK aswell. I agree its a nice alternative dmg dealing class, its at 25 atm. Would love to take it all the way in my 2nd career.

A bard's job varies, but it is primarily supposed to Back-up the Tanks.

I would'nt go as far as to say it is like a white mage, because bard's techniques mainly focus on raising your stats temporarily, rather than healing.

Was Thief for a long while ^^. Once thief broke 60 with full AF decided it wasn't worth it (Taru Thief really feels weak even with quite good equips) so decided changed to Black Mage. Spent so much on Black Mage I decided to go as far as I can before getting bored and going back to Bard or White Mage T_T. Wind Torque.... no more money lol.

Well, me too! :D Beastmaster is great for me because it perfectly contrasts Bardhood. I go from the 'ultimate support job' to a solo job. After hours of playing away at my flute, I build up a real urge to pick up an axe and beat stuff up! XD

I split my time doing both. The playing is night and day difference.

One I never get hit unless its AOE, and the other job I always get hit.

I love both jobs. I going to try out BST sometime though.

I'm still something of a ghetto bard (w/o signa or lightstaff) so I'll be grinding n that with my part timer schedule I have to give to this game.

Right now I'm in the process of leveling the necessary subjobs to get on track for getting BRD to 75... finished BLM to 18, all I need is to farm fame for Warp quest and then to level WHM to 37...

...and then the teleport quests ><;

If I get bored with all of that, I might look into doing SMN avatar battles and leveling SMN for a bit.

I've also wanted to muck about with BST as well, but over the long term of soloing, it would seem to get boring to me after a while.

Ill lvl WHM,BLM, or SMN when I get tired of singing. May pick up and try out BST, and I wanna lvl THF for farming/crafting.

I leved monk to 50 which was really fun, but i recently switched servers so my bard is deleted and im going to play thf now which hasn't been fun at all cus im taru without a subjob lol.

Well, I've leveled WHM of course...but I'd say my true 'alternate' job is Monk. Haven't played it in a long time...certainly is fun to be able to deal some damage, though. Wouldn't be surprised if my 30 MNK outdamaged my BRD...

My main is thief and I love it.


I love tanking so ninja and pld are right up my alley. Ninja is only 25 though. If I had the gil I would take it farther... Nice thing though is I can switch equips between the two. At least at my current levels I can. Hairpin,LL, same throwing items, rings, etc.

I also lvled WM to 31 for the heck of it and I enjoy it. But I want to focus sololy on thf and tanking jobs. I'm tied down for gil as it is without tackling yet another job.

I can enjoy any job minus bst, too lonely for my taste.

i alternate bard and whm right now, but as soon as i hit 37 on whm im gonna focus on ly little bard, get her to like 50 before go back to whm

My original goal was to be 74war/nin, I had all the war subs prepared (see sig), but I don't have the time in RL right now. In my current situation Bard is perfect. Maybe I will return to Warrior later. High level war/nin in Hauberk still impresses me :>
