Sad bards ...
I was just about to log and then I got a msg about doing BCMN 40's. I haven't done them in a while, but I was very successful in the past. Since I was in the need for money, I was hoping I could get some easy bling bling MOOLA!
So here's how it went ... We had a DRK, RNG, PLD, WHM, BLM and ofcourse, a newbie ass bard named Setheron (oops I won't mention any names)
So I was like ... wow nice group!
1 minute later, I thought wrong. Setheron (who subbed warrior) runs in at the start of the battle and provokes the black mandragora, used berserk and then casted Foe Lullaby (yes Foe Lullaby, he thought it had the area effect sleep) on the black one which he failed to do so. The black mandragora, right after casts paralyga and we all got paralyzed. 5 seconds later, the bard dies. Luckily I escaped fast enough...
The funny thing is, Setheron actually tried to tank the black one. After he died, he's like "WTF NEWBS HEAL ME OMFG I'm suppose to tank them all, the forums said so" and ofcourse we told him he was wrong. His excuse for using berserk was "I wanted to do more damage and kill the black one fast". Even accused us for not curing him, which we did. He was just dying so fast ... getting hit by 8 mandy's at once none which were asleep. (lol)
He also told us that charisma is useless for a bard and it won't help when you cast sleep. He instead, had STR rings. He said if he had more STR, he could hold better hate when using provoke.
When I first checked him, I thought he had decent items because he had a paperknife, I ignored every other item assuming he was a great bard (since most didn't even have their AF1 yet and I knew this was the next best weapon)
He said he has Mary's horn but will not use it because he's afraid it might "Break" <-- wtf? He said if you use an instrument more then 20 times, it will have a chance to break so he won't use it anymore. It was quite obvious at this point that this bard is a newb and probably got free items and tries to look "elite".
The whole time he kept flaming the party:
"WTF NOOBS WHY NOT KEEP MY AS HEALED YO WTF IM TRYIN TO TANK THIS SHIT DOUBLE YEW TEE EFF LEARN HOW TO BCMN 40 NUBLARS"
The whole party laughed at his stupidity ... yet he wouldn't admit he was wrong. He got mad at the melee for attacking the black mandy which was funny because he had his club out, whacking it for 5 damage. We told him to scroll up and check. He then logged out 2 minutes later knowing he was wrong.
I was just wondering if anyone had any bard problems and BCMN 40 ... It was kinda frustrating playing with newbie bards, it's not even that he was a newb, it was because he chose not to learn and instead, thought he was a lot more "elite" then others. A newb, who learns becomes a better player. A newb who is "RAWR I R THE LEET I R ALWAYS RIGHT" is and will always be a newb.
It had quite a laugh though so I was satisfied!

. I kept telling him to cast the songs we needed but he kept replying that he did'nt have them, so instead all he did was cast mass threnody on the mob and the funny thing about it was that he wasn't casting the thernody's of the elements we where using during skill chains and nukes. Also after I had realized how noobie he was I had told him what he could do to improve, but he said "shut up im the bard and ur not, don't teach me how to do my JOB" lol, after that comment me and the group decided to boot him and we got a better bard
