Bard EQ questions

I've been reviewing the BRD threads, and have read conflicting reports over what to equip for the head slot till level 72 when I can wear that demon cap.

Just for clairification, which is better:
Brd AF? +11hp, +3MND, +5 Parry skill, -1 Emnity
or
Noble's Ribbon? +3 elemental resists, +3 CHR

Also, as far as instruments go, would a +3CHR San d'Orian Horn be better than the Traversai+1 flute which adds to my madrigal power?

I'm a major CHR whore (60+40)^^
But I am afraid that I might be overdoing it?
Any experienced Brd's please share your wisdom

Madrigal bonus instrument is one of the "required" instruments, imo... the san d'orian horn isn't... that cha on it isn't useful because really, how often do you actually have it equipped when playing a song?

I have a Royal Spearman's Horn for +3 CHR, and on any non-Madrigal or Minuet song, I switch to the Spearman's Horn for a nice CHR boost. Every single one of my song macros has an intstrument switch in it. It helps make those Threnodies stick, and since I don't yet have a Mary's Horn, helps my Lullbay's stick when I need to crowd control.

Of course, you will be using Madrigal, Minuet, and Lullaby, and thus obtaining a Cornette +1, Traversiere +1, and Mary's Horn as soon as possible is a good idea.

IMO + songs better then + chr on instrument. Later on I could barely land a song on a monster unless I had the instrument for it.
