  • Threnodies

So far I've hit level 20 as a bard and am having a blast (and getting lots of compliments too hehe)

I'm just using Minne on my mages and Minuet + Madrigal on my melees. In between battles, I stack Paeon I and II.

I haven't bought any threnodies yet, haven't had any use for them. Now that I'm headed to Qufim (booooooring) I'm wondering if I should pick them up and start using them. What I'd like to know is, do they stack? And how many can u have active on an enemy? Is the idea to debuff their weakness so that BLM's can nuke them?

Also, do Requiem I and II stack? Thx for the infos, I've become a great bard by reading the forums here.

2 songs on each party member

1 song of each type on Monsters

    ie

    Minuet/Madrigal on tanks

    Ballad/Etude on mages

reqruim, fire threnody, and elegy would all stack on the Monster^^

    How this helps^^

There's a lot of theories or explanations about how you can stack threnodies, though I've never seen any real proof that they will. Most say if you use (for instance) fire threnody on a Mandragora, and then another type of threnody, they are more likely to stack since you used the weakness to debuff first. Again I've never seen it actually make a difference though.

Hmm, last night I cast Foe Requiem II quickly followed by a Requiem I and got a message stating Foe Requiem had no effect. So I assume they don't stack.
