Can we have more tunes, Square-Enix?

I'm really tired of hearing the same 3 sound effects (or 2, unless you want to make your PT disband due to the horror of singing), no matter what song I play. They ought to make it so that each unique line of songs, like Minuet, March, or Etude, has its own tune, which is then adapted into voice, string, and wind variations. I'm sorry if this has been discussed already. Sure it's purely cosmetic, but that also makes it easy to change w/o any balancing issues. This way you'll also be able to use audio cues to tell what's playing.

Either that or un-gimp us with some active job skill other than Soul Voice. Being able to move while singing would be nice, or how about Instrument Bash? :p

Electric guitar would be nice. As would to replace the current AF with Ino's costume from GGX2.

As for new music for songs, yeah that would be very nice.

Also I was suprised that you can't play and move. Are they worried about FFXI bards pulling a EQ and kiting mobs?

anyways, on topic, different tunes would be cool, or even the same tunes with different styles, like March making the tune go 2x as fast or Minuet making it airier

I'm really disappointed bards don't have a Ranged attack with instruments, considering it is in the range spot. Implementing this would be easy, using the instrument skills. Just think Edward (as bad a character as he was) and his attacks in FF2.

Tough for the male bards.. I was thinking of Ino outfit on my mithra Anyways square isn't afraid of making fe--males. Just look at Tidus and Vaan. :sweat:

Ranged music attack would be nice. I don't recall Edward, but I do remember the sax player in Trigun.

We should be able to use instruments as melee weapons. Theres nothing cooler than beathing the hell out of an orc with a MANDOLIN.

Well if you are sick of hearing the same tunes for bard songs, you might want to try the music change thing in the FAQ section of gamefaqs.com

there's apparently a way to convert mp3s and sub them into the game for existing sound effects so that minuet can end up being that electric guitar solo from lenard skinner. I haven't tried it but maybe this can be a temporary fix if you decided that you are bored enough.
