I would say, if anything, you are gimped as a RDM vs a whm. RDM can work but ,as stated in other threads, it just isn't as helpful. the two biggest advantages of RDM's over whm's are pretty much negated as a sub under a bard. Refresh uses a whole lot of use as, by the time you can use it, you can already stack Ballad 1 & 2 for the same effect. Phalinx is never bad but how much would you really get to use it with a bard main?

Compare this with natural regen, divine seal, and raise (yes raise II is obviously better but Raise I is better than nothing). and it just makes sense to sub whm.

the purpose of rdm sub is fastcast, though it seems everywhere i go people have different opinions on if its effective or not....rumors suck.

Elvaan is not bad, although my MP not as good as a Taru, but I do get beat up bad when my party got linked. You need to sleep the mons and when the mons wake up, they will come at you right away. And the worse case is you failed to sleep them, you will need all the blood you have to sustain the beating because your party is busy trying to finish the very first prey before taking care of the rest of the mons and you.
