  • Requiem?

This seems to be the Bards only real attack, and I was curious as to how mch damage it does. Is it like completely useless? Or is useful enough to use often? How much damage do they do compared to other attackers say Requiem VII or VIII vs Flare or something thanks.

It's really more of a defense lowering move than anything. Bards attack with daggers.

Does it really lower defense? I personally dont think so cause the description of the song says nothing like that... just "deals sonic damage"

its basically a low damage damage over time spell. I think my requiem III did around 50 damage in 1 minute >_> its nothing special.

        Requiem does dmg. ^^

        IE:

        Requiem 1 takes 1hp/1sec
        Requiem 2 takes 2hp/1sec.....
        Requiem6 takes 6hp/sec

You get the picture, i dont think Requiem lowers defense

requiem is same time type as holy MB (banish, dia, etc)
for the seronades, I can't remember what exactly lines up with what (ie if its fire with fire, ice with ice) but it definitely works.

yeah, you can sing the song to lower light def on the creature, then cast requiem. Both of them cast in under 3 seconds each or so, pretty fast combo.

Requiem is a poison effect, deals damage over time. its pretty fun running around the newbie area casting it on all the creatures. It has enough punch to kill them in under 30 seconds, cast it on a bunch, and watch them all DIEEEEEEEEEEEE

Actually, that's not quite accurate. Requiem starts at 2hp / 1.5 secs. Requiem II does 3hp /1.5, etc. I haven't gotten III yet (2 levels to go before I do), but from being hit by it by a Yugado Drummer, it seems to do 4hp / 1l5 seconds.

I'm sure the scaling must change at some point, though, because if Requiem VI only does 7hp / 1.5 seconds on level 60-70 mobs, it wouldn't be worth it at all. Especially since I do 5 hp / 1.5 seconds with Requiem II and a Siren Flute (+2 to Requiem).

Just a lv 9 bard right now, so i only have Foe requiem I. but i was curious, Do the requiems stack?
ie: could i cast requiem I & II on a monster. to do extra dmg?

                    thanks^^

nope, you can only stick with one requiem. kind of blows if you accidently cast the weaker requeim on the mob.

No big deal, just cast the stronger Requiem over the weaker, it should take hold and remove the previous Requiem effect. Why do you have a weaker Requiem macro-ed anyway?

I alway cast cast Requiem at the begining of a fight '_')b
Nice little damage over time spell, free and quick to cast.
