Cheapest Adv. Melee?

DRG [this job still not cheap but its the cheapest from all adv melee]

I'd say MNK since they don't really need Snipers, though yeah, DRG is close second.

Monk's not an advanced melee.

Monks don't need snipers....for two minutes out of every five when focus is on. For the rest of the time, monk really should have snipers (+ life belt, Jujitsu/Master's Gi/Temple Cyclas).

We're not innately more accurate, or anything.

why bother going to an "advanced" melee if your not gonna do the job right. obviously u don't wanna spend the money, so why bother spending the time to lvling another one when u can just conitnue lvling your current job? all melees except maybe thief, ninja, paladin, will at one time need snipers, everything except paladin will likely need/want a emp. hairpin. so with those in mind i'd have to say paladins would be the cheapest adv job

however you STILL NEED to have all the proper money invested in your char, you need near top of the line armor, u can save on things like +vit rings instead of snippers. and a good helm instead of a hairpin but you STILL NEED to spend money. its not cheap, to do it right, and if u dont' do it right, your not welcome

Whatever advanced job you pick, if you go gimp, it'll cost the least. If you want decent equip, I would think SMN would be cheapest (without elementals) up until the elemental staves. PLD seems to be the all around cheapest, until 70+, when you'll invest alot of time and money to get some of that "cool" looking equip.

depends a lot on lvl range ,equip ur going for and the prices on ur server.....
drg can be really expensive <.<
scorp harness costs ~4mio on rag and drks haubergeon (about 1mio only .!.-.-.!.) is really cheap compared to that
but until then drg is one of the cheapest ones :O

What's ppl's obsession with the "Advanced" title anyway?

The cheapest Melee Job prolly is the DRG, shortly followed by WAR (if you think it is a melee)

Pre 30 it goes to a MNK, but if you haven't seen the prices of Ochuido's Kote, Fuma Kyahans, Brown Belt and Jujitsu Gi, I must say that DRG's and WAR's are the cheapest

WAR isn't cheap at all. They need tanking and attack gear. Ask andy PLD, good tanking ear isn't cheap.

That right there is cheap than what I have spent on my DRG so far.

Bst can wear nothing but a updated axe and non-stat giving cheap fairly recent armor and solo ok, only fighting even match-tough most the time so accuracy isnt as improtant.

Solo noone cares how gimp your equipment is or if you have 278 attack instead of 294 attack. :spin:

Plus bst makes lots of money keeping all the drops from things and farming whilst exp'ing so they get my vote for cheapest advanced melee.

How cheap would WAR be considering attacking WARs can wear, and should, wear everything a DRK can, Hauberk, Thick Set, etc, Balmung/Nagan are expensive, but Juggernaut and Tabarzin aren't really what I'd call cheap either.

Ochiudo + Fuma + Brown Belt + Jujitsu Gi doesn't even cost as much as a Hauberk after adding them all up. :spin:

Back on topic, there's not really a job which can be cheap, but if there is, it would definitely be BRD, no one cares what songs you have, as long as you have your Acc Attk Songs and Ballads, Lullabys, Finale and maybe Paeon.
