  • Bard in training, problem class

Well, short story long, I want to end up going the brd/whm route. Obviously, I wasn't thinking of this when I created my character, as a war seems to be most troublesome in this case. I wanted to go the extra 3 levels to get subs and then start levelling whm to 37, but it seems to me the only way to do that would be to either level whm with a war sub, as any decent whm sub would be just as lousy with a war sub as whm itself.

I'm basically looking for a wa to do this relatively quickly without being gimped while lvling whm.

    Any suggestions?

P.S. I know, what a first post. I'd been lurking for months, and this problem finally made me sign up.

P.P.S. If this belongs in the bard forum, I apologize, I figured it wasn't entirely a bard question, but more of a job/sub combo question, so I posted here.

just lvl blm to 10 or 15 (takes a day or less) then get whm to 30.

unlock bard and go go go.

as far as leveling whm past 30, getting past 60 takes a ridiculous amount of time the first time through, don't worry about 31-37 yet.
Current Character Info: Xerlaoth Valefor, Windurst RDM 75, WAR 60, BLM 48, NIN 37, WHM 37, DRK 30, THF 30 (FUN!) Rank10 Windurst, Hume, Indianface Fer Life.

Actually, WHM/WAR works pretty well to 10 (the solo levels). it makes you a bit more durable... pick up a hammer at level 5 and beat the stuffing out of things and cure yourself.

Once you get to 10 WHM, go BLM/WHM to 15, then WHM/BLM to 30, unlock Bard and go go go! (you'll eventually have to level WHM to 37, but no need to do that immediately if you don't want to).
